The candle stood, solemn and silent, trying to ignore the flames hissing and cackles as it sat upon her head, feeding greedily upon the candle's wick and causing wax to drip into the candle's eyes.
The candle studied the glowing ember in her dripping hands. She struggled to hold it.
It quite resembled a heart, and it was burning.
This alarmed the candle greatly. Her mind was already aflame- why did he have to set her heart ablaze as well?
