Goodbye Forever

To being timid,
To trusting everyone other than herself,
To masking her own desires for the sake of keeping others warm and happy.

To fulfilling other's expectations,
For trying so hard to fit into every box so that the world accepts her,
For seeking external validation and approval always.

"Goodbye"
To being soft, when all she wanted to do was scream her heart out,
To being shy, when all she ever wanted to be was wild.

"Goodbye"
To lowering her own voice and eventually becoming silent,
To holding herself back and blocking the way.

"Goodbye"
To letting the voices, fears, ego, insecurities, words and actions of others control her mind,
To disrespecting her mind and body,
To not valuing her relationship with herself, with food and with the Universe.

"Goodbye"
To prioritising everyone except herself,
To past fears, attitude, lifestyle,
To oscillating between being over cofident and then suddenly hitting rock bottom with no sense of self,
To depriving herself love she so freely gave to others.

"Goodbye"
To having a low self esteem,
To the concept of having to seek revenge with every person who hurt her,
To the lack of trust on herself,
To putting her intuition on hold.

"Goodbye"
To dimming her own light,
To shrinking herself, in an attempt to make others feel complete.

"Goodbye"
To forgetting how to smile whole heartedly,
To feeling ugly,
To that constant whisper in her head saying "I am not good enough. "

To being and feeling like the victim,
To let her hair and mouth remain uptight.

"Goodbye"
To be afraid of standing apart and being different,
To being submissive,
To feeling hate and replacing it with love and empathy.

"Goodbye"
To being "the good girl" for the world,
To having felt lost.

"Goodbye" to the old her.
