Painful [Juuzou Suzuya x Reader One-Shots]

#1 Forbidden

(I had to write something for Juuzou since I love him so much and here it is.)

You were working at Anteiku when you met Juuzou Suzuya for the first time. It was obvious from the start that he was CCG investigator, he had walked in with Mr. Shinohara which you had learned was his partner he worked with. Even though you knew better than to interact with them you did and that seemed like a bad choice to everyone, but not to you. You saw Juuzou a lot on the streets so you always came up to him and talked like an old friend. You couldn't help it you wanted to know more about him he intrigued you one could say.

To start off you didn't think Juuzou really cared about you, but as time went on he seemed to like your company very much. You were cleaning the tables in Anteiku, the shop was just about to close up for the night but then you heard the bell on the door jingle. 'why is there a customer here so late?' You questioned. "Kid I'm sorry we're about to close if you want something better make it snappy," Nishiki told the customer.

You lifted your gaze to examine who had walked in and made eye contact with Juuzou. "(Y/n)-chan!" He ran over and engulfed you in a hug. You could feel the heat rise to your face and you knew exactly why. You held feelings for him, but you couldn't be with him because you were a ghoul, plus you were sure he saw you as a friend anyway.

"The shop is about to close you better order something," you said. "Okayyy what should I order?~" You giggled, "Don't you have any idea of what you want?" He pouted, "No not really I came here to see you!" He smiled that beautiful smile that made your heartbeat quicken.

You completely forgot all your ghoul friends behind the counter was watching this interaction and you could feel your best friend Touka glare daggers at the back of your head. You looked over and saw Irima watching carefully as well,"(Y/n) tell our customer we're closed." You were surprised she said that even if the coffee shop was closing if there was a customer Anteiku wasn't the place to refuse one. "Awww but I don't wanna leave," Juuzou frowned. "Sorry you have to Juuzou we can't serve you this late anyway," you lied.

Juuzou shrugged and just skipped out without a care in the world and you felt pissed. They did that solely because Juuzou was an investigator and you were affiliated with him. "Hey, can we talk (Y/n) in private?" Touka asked. You nodded and she led you up to her room.

"Listen I know you have been friends with that boy, but he's a dove! Are you stupid he could kill you (Y/n)!" She exclaimed obviously outraged. You begged to differ Juuzou wouldn't do that to you, you trusted him with all you had. "Shut up! You think just because I'm a ghoul I can't be friends with him! I don't care to be and call me stupid all you want, but I'm not just gonna toss him out like trash!" You shouted back at her.

You felt tears roll down your eyes nobody wanted you to be near him and it was eating at you. Touka automatically felt bad and put a hand on your shoulder in an attempt to comfort you. "I'm sorry, but you're my best friend I don't want you to get killed. I don't understand why you're so upset by this anyways.." She trailed off.

"You don't understand Touka you never could.." You wept. It's like she read your mind right after you said those words and she did understand. "You're in love with him aren't you?!" Your face turned red, "N-No I'm not I couldn't."

She laughed, "Don't play dumb I can tell you have feelings for that weirdo." You glared at her, "Don't call him that Touka! He isn't a weirdo." "Wow getting all defensive I see, but seriously I can't control what you do and promise me from now on you'll be careful around him alright?" You looked at her straight in the eyes, "Promise."

You were off to the zoo to try and find Juuzou. It sounded odd, but most of your day was spent wanting to talk to him. He had you wrapped around his finger well and you cherished his company. After your encounter with Touka last night the manager Yoshimura also spoke to you he told you not to lure that boy to the cafe anymore if you didn't want anything bad to happen to it. That was all he said to you nothing less, nothing more. You understand where he was coming from as it was obvious when he came in with Shinohara that one time something was clearly up.
