"Alora, you cannot wear that!"

"What? Why?" I questioned as I looked into the mirror. Just one glance at Lidia's face said it all.

She sighed, "We're going to a rock concert, not bingo with grandma!"

I chuckled, "I'd rather go to bingo."

"Tragic. Now shut up, I'm picking out your outfit since you're obviously not capable," she said in a goofy tone. Lidia always has been very sarcastic and overdramatic. She never has any ill intentions, she's just a bit more expressive than the usual person. I never minded it, if anything, I thought it was funny. Having her around keeps the mood lightened.

I continued to look into the mirror questioning why I couldn't wear this outfit. What's wrong with my fluffy sweater and leggings?

Lidia came back over and handed me black ripped skinny jeans and a black spaghetti strap tank top.

I looked at her dumbfounded, "It's cold out. No way I'm wearing this."

"First of all, we live in L.A., it's 60 degrees out, you'll live. Second of all, when we get in there and it's packed full of over hyper maniacs, it's going to get hot and sweaty real fast."

I cringed scrunching up my face, "That just makes me want to go even less."

"Too bad. You're my best friend and I'm not going alone," she smirked. She knew I would do anything for her. She said it herself, she's my best friend. Besides, if I do this for her, then she'll have to do something for me later.

I sighed, "The things I'll do for you."

"Oh shush, you'll have fun. Now get changed."

I scrummaged up the clothes that she handed me and began to change. Lidia was still in the room but she didn't care. We've changed in front of each other countless times. Never in a sexual way, we are just on that comfort level as friends.

As I finished off my outfit by putting on a black belt around my waist, Lidia walked up behind me with a pair of her combat boots.

"Are you trying to turn me goth?" I chuckled.

She laughed, "No, you dork. Your feet are going to get stepped on when we're in there. I sacrifice my mighty boots to you for your protection. Your toes will thank me later."

I took the boots from her and began lacing them up.

Again, how is this suppose to be fun? I've never even been to a rock concert before, let alone any concert for that matter. I don't even like rock music, it's overly loud and aggressive. How can Lidia listen to that kind of stuff all the time? I'm more of a slow tempo kind of girl myself.

After checking over my outfit one more time in the mirror, I was shoved out the door by Lidia.

We jumped in her car and she started driving us to the venue. I didn't even know what the venue was called. Hell, I don't even know who's playing at it. I'm sure it's one of her dad's bands.

Lidia's dad, Ron, is a music producer. He works with all different kinds of bands all the time. He has his own entire section of the house as a music studio and office area. And yeah, their house is very big, and he is very rich.

After a short 20 minute drive, we arrived at the venue. It surprisingly was pretty small. There were a lot of people there though. There was a line of people going down the street waiting to get in. They mostly appeared to be around mine and Lidia's age, twenty's, a few teens here and there.

Lidia lead me to the front entrance. A few people gave us upsetting looks as we were technically cutting in front of them. I would protest and tell her that we should wait in line but honestly, it was too dam cold out for me, I wasn't going to complain.
