Ah, I remember the day Trssa and I met Mylene.

We were hunting that morning for breakfast. We'd expected to find our usual hunt of the morning, a dabbit, but as we quietly walked through the pine trees that could cover us, we heard a little yell. It sounded like someone had stepped on a pine cone then swallowed some pine needles. I signaled to Trssa to keep moving, assuming it was a new type of animal we could hunt. We swing around the large tree to find...

        A baby human.

Yes, we found a baby human next to a large tree a few feet away from our cave. It's eyes were large and would just stare at us.  It was the strangest thing we'd ever seen. She would just lay there and plead to us for something as if we were the parent. I told Trssa to leave her there for the wolves to eat. We both knew she was going to be too much of a hassle to take care of, but I, also, knew Trssa would take her home because of her soft spot for living creatures.

"She's a little baby!" Trssa tells me.

"Yeah, but she is going to be too much of a hassle for us. We don't even know how to feed her!"

"We could tell the king and queen about her."

"You're going to give this child to the two dragons who know nothing about babies let alone human babies!"

"We could always help out. They respect us."

        "I still say no."

"Elnoir, please" she looks at me with the big fat eyes that I can never ignore. She knows it was my weakness.

I sigh "fine, but only if she goes to their majesties."

It was fifteen years later when I heard about the deaths of the king and queen. Everyone was devastated. Mylene, the girl we found near the tree, was extremely devastated. It was as if it was her heart was taken out and stamped on. However, there was also a sort of blame in herself too, but I knew that after all those years she wouldn't be able to kill who she considered family. It was her given rule.

I just wondered what got her so bothered on that day.
