Ally's POV
It was a Monday morning and my first day of school at Jefferson High. I took a shower and started getting dressed. I put on skinny jeans, a black top studded with rhinestones and boots. I dried my hair and curled it to make it look wavy. I did my makeup and fluffed my hair in the mirror. I tried smiling a few times. Every one looked stupid but I didn't let it get me down.
I jumped when my phone started playing the George Strait song that meant Karma, my best friend from my old school, was texting me.
Karma 💋: Heard there's a new chick at jefferson. Heard she's hot.
I smiled to myself.
Me: lol I'm gonna miss you
Several minutes passes before a reply came in.
Karma 💋: maybe not. I'm transferring. The new chick? Yea I meant me. Not that you're not hot cuz you are
My mouth dropped open. I couldn't believe I wouldn't be totally alone. Thirty minutes later Karma and I were getting out of my car and walking across the parking lot, arms linked together the way we did at our old school.
