Blink. Blink. Blink. Blink.

It took me a number of blinks before my eyes were able to adjust. I groaned as I saw that I’m

back in the chamber where Jiyong was being whipped before.

“How are you feeling?” a whisper came from beside me. I saw Jiyong’s shoulder leaning against

the wall. I lifted my hand to reach him when I heard a rattling sound. I looked down and saw

manacles on my wrists.

“I don’t know” I answered belatedly and looked around. “Where are they?”

“Outside” he answered. “So. . .” he hesitated.

“So what?” I urged on.

“You did the first move again” he chuckled. “I must say, I’m pleased that you still find me

irresistible despite my current. . . looks”

“I can’t believe you still got the nerves to joke” I rolled my eyes.

“I heard them” he seriously said. “I heard them talked about you being in Woo’s care and all the

lies he’s been feeding you about me. And yet, you ran to me. . .”

“I almost believed him” I answered truthfully. “But it felt wrong in a way, so. . .” I shrugged then

turned to him, my eyes slanted. “And you! You’re such a jerk!”

“What did I do?” he asked, surprised.

“Why did you show up in the Jangs’ residence just like that? You went straight there after you

escaped this place, didn’t you? You’re really stupid, you know! You could have at least called

for backup or something or at least changed your clothes, took a bath. You should have went

straight into the hospital. I must say, you smelled sweat and dirt”

I think I saw him blushed. Aigoo! I can’t believe this. Kwon Jiyong, blushing?

“I’m not proud of my action” he then said. “Actually, I didn’t expect that from myself. What I

did is probably the lamest, dumbest and the most stupid thing an agent could do. But I wasn’t

thinking straight anymore. All I could think of is you, your safety and that you went straight into

the enemy’s arms after I let you escaped. That was pretty stupid, too”

I blushed. “Well, you can’t really blame me, can you? I didn’t expect Wooyoung oppa’s

involved in here but- wait! So, he’s the really involved here?”

“Yes”

“And you knew all along?” I asked in disbelief.

“Not all along, just some time back”

“Why didn’t you tell me? Aish!”

He snorted. “At the time I found out, you wouldn’t believe me. You were too SMITTEN with

him”

“But when we were being chased, you should have at least told me” I said.

“Would you have believed me, then?”

Well, the truth? No, I wouldn’t believe him. But now, I do. Funny how I can take this so easily.
