She stands in the poring rain shivering. Her bony fist pound on the front door. "Let me in," She screams out in a tired voice. No one answers. This is not the first time her own mother has locked her out of the house. She pulls her sweater tight around her frail body. The wind bites her with every blow. "I'm sorry mom," she screams again.
Lexi walks over to the porch swing. At least that has somewhat of a cover. The swing protects her from the hard rain, turning it into a small trickle. Her soaking hair sticks to her back. Thoughts start to race through her head. She locked you out cus your disgusting. She can't have someone as gross as you in that nice house. There is a real reason she was locked out, but that is all she can help but think.
What feels like an hour later he mom opens the door. Her large body blocks the doorway. The devil guarding Heaven. "Come in you ungreatful brat!" Her moms words are slurred. She has been drinking. "I'm going out with some friends so don't even think about leaving the house."
Lexi pushes past her mom in anger. How dare the woman suppose to protect her make her feel so vulnerable?. Lexi unlocks her bedroom door. She keeps it locked so her mom doesn't go through her stuff. She know she will have to shower. Fear knots her stomach. It will be impossible to shower without seeing her body.
You need to look at your disgusting self so you know what to change.
Slowly she pulls off her wet sweater. Her skin is instantly exposed to the air, causing her to shiver. Lexi doesn't dare look down as she takes off her jeans. She doesn't want to have a mental breakdown from looking at her fat thighs.
She walks into the bathroom, and turns on the shower as hot as it can go. Avoiding the mirror, she gets into the shower. The hot water feels like heaven on her cold skin.
Lexi gets out and wraps a fresh towel around her body. She once hated showers, but now they are a heaven sent.
She dresses her self in a black alien sweater, fishnets, and a pair of shorts.

The shorts hang loosely on her hips, exposing her bones. She brushes her blonde straw like hair, and a clump comes out into the brush. Lexi mentally curses herself for not taking better care of her hair.
She grabs her car keys off the table deciding to go get some coffee. After a few seconds of thinking, she finds it better to walk.
She walks down the stairs and onto the front porch. The rain has stopped, leaving the ground covered in huge puddles. Lexi wraps her arms around her shoulders. The 50 degree weather biting at her dry skin. Just get your coffee and go home, she tells herself. The gas station is only about a ten minute walk. Most people would probably drive, but the walk is nothing to her.
She is walking on the side of the road when she spots something in the distance. It looks like a boy, and he looks like he is about to jump off the bridge. Lexi books it. Her legs are sore with every step. Her shoes where not made for running. "What the hell are you doing!" She yells. The boy stops what he is doing at looks at her.
Once she is close enough he talks. "It isn't any of your fucking business. I don't know you and you don't know me, so back off."
Lexi grabs his arm. "I didn't walk ten minutes just to see someone try and kill themselves."
The boy looks at her puzzled. "You walked? Don't you have a car?"
Lexi shakes her head."You don't have to tell me whats going on, just please don't do what you where about to do."
"Why would it matter?"
Lexi shrugs. "I don't know. Just don't do it."
"Well while we are here we may as well go get coffee."
Lexi smiles. "I can pay," she says.
"Ok," the boy responds. "My name is Toby by the way."
