Vulnerable and sweet.
I was just perfect. Perfect like they wanted me.
I sat down on the velvet couch with my legs crossed, and my black silky dress inching up my thigh. All i saw was two men, face to face and at each others throats, ready to kill.
Kill for me.
One wanted to love me, own me, call me his.
The other one wanted to give me, provide for me, make me fucking filthy rich.
I wanted both. Why couldnt they just give me it? Why did they have to be selfish and predictable? This was no Romeo and Juliet.
"Irene!" The money guy yelled. I didnt flinch.
"Irene, it's now or never honey. You tell this fuck face that he's got to go!"
I didnt move. I didnt want to. I didnt care.
"We're in love. She doesnt care about your filthy money! She cares about me! She told me so!" The other guy yelled.
Fuck off.
I got up from the couch and walked over to the counter across the room. I poured myself a drink. I let my red lips stain the glass, i let two foolish men decide their fate.
All i wanted was some money, sex, and attention. Not this, no never this.
I walk back towards them with my drink in hand. Lover boy noticed me coming and stared at me incredibly hard, obsessed over my body, my face, and my perfection. I saw love in his eyes and the waves of regret vibrating off of him. He didnt want to be here. He just wanted to be with me on a beach somewhere, making love that splits the sky in two and turn our dark colors into shades of light crimson gold.
How sweet of him.
Money man held a gun and lover boy held a sorrow, knowing he might be killed tonight.
"You choose me don't you darling?" Said money man, looking at me through his dark shades, probably thinking of all the things he might do to me tonight.
I nodded. I choose him.
"Show me you choose me." He hands me the gun.
I hesitantly grabbed it. I had never held one before, this was a man's job. So i was taught.
All my life i was surrounded by men, protected by men, spoken for by men, everything was man. Absolutely everything.
Your body. Your thoughts. Your destination. Your future. Everything belonged to man.
Huh. Women werent shit.
I looked at lover boy and then back at money man - i giggled slightly.
"What's funny my darling?" Money man asked gently, his voice trying to convince me it was time to shoot the man opposite of us.
"Oh just .. how men would die for women." I said breathful, smiling slightly, feeling somehwhat psychotic.
"He would. And he is." Money man spoke. "He will."
Those words. Like knives cutting through drapes, letting the sun in. Awakening me after years of darkness, chains, and the cold bites of control. Being set free, like dancing naked in the pure bliss of the hot summer. It was like taking my virginity back in one grab, taking my youth back in one sip. God, when was i ever going to feel this free and powerful again?
"He will." Repeated money man. Snatching me out of my vision. Arresting me once again from my freedom in two words.
I looked at lover boy. He looked down, looking and passing through mental photos of his life story. Feeling so sorry for himself.
And then heart beats, blurry vision, gun shot, silence, laughter.
"You will " I spoke in between breathless laughs and heavy breathing.
He lay there dead. Lifeless, but bringing me more life in. Leaving whatever he had behind in a flash.
He was somebody's son. Somebody's friend. Someone had to have cared about him.
But he was dead shit to me.
"Baby?" Echoed through me like four plain white walls.
"Baby? Irene?" Lover boy spoke again, like four plain white walls.
He grabbed both of my arms, tears in his eyes, sobs escaping his beautiful mouth every now and then.
He was beautiful, magical, and everything i wanted. I loved him.
Me and him, we spent countless nights in the garden laying on beautiful silk blue sheets. We met up late at night to confess our silly little empty love affairs.
Silliness almost got him killed.
"Irene, baby i love you. I love you so much!" He sobbed into my neck, bending himself over to reach my height.
Four plain white walls.
"I love you too."
Four plain white walls. They need color.
"Put the gun down baby. You did what you had to do." He said as he reached for the gun. I pulled it away.
"Just hug me." I said softly into the abyss of the great unknown. Into the emptiness of these four plain white .. walls.
They needed color. They did.
Heart beats, blurry vision, gun shot, silence, laughter.
They needed color.
And all i saw was red.
{ Hello everyone! This chapter (preface or whatever) is pretty vague and weird and jumpy but it's the preface so it's not technically a story. It's kind of like Irene trying to recall the happenings of that night LOL so sorry if its SHIT.
BUT! The other characters are coming soon. I'm not really going to give everybody a backstory because that would be lame, predictable and not fun.
UMMM i also hope you know that i would LOVE if you guys offered ideas of any type of plots you want to see? I barley thought of this story like an hour before i actually wrote it so the story line is a bit everywhere lol. SORRY.
But i hope you enjoy the preface. Please give feedback PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Like i really need it and would appreciate it.
All the love to you! Thank you!}
