Do You Need An Editor?

I'm Destany, I'm fresh out of college with my Bachelor's degree in English and need some real experience in editing outside of a classroom. During my time in college, it was hard to balance my school work and my job and due to this, I wasn't able to handle having an internship. Doing an internship during college would have been very beneficial to me and may have been able to get a job easily. My dream career is to be an editor at a publishing house but I feel in order to be taken seriously, I need to have some experience outside of a classroom setting.

I just finished getting my Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in writing, so I have taken many courses that have focused on editing/proofreading. I have not done any editing for anyone other than for those who were in my classes but I am hard working and will try my very best. I feel that starting off as an editor on Wattpad would provide me with some experience that I can take with me to help me further my career goal. I'm great with spelling, grammar, proofreading, word choice, and constructive feedback if author wants any.

The genres that I would be most interested in doing would be:

Fiction

Fanfiction

Romance

Teen fiction

Supernatural

Chick Lit

Billionaire

But I'm willing to edit any other genre that goes beyond those that I have stated.
