(AN - Throughout this story there may be trigger warnings, so I will include this at the top of every chapter regardless .)
Joe's POV
Happy Birthday to me! Gosh, I am old aren't I? Went to bed 26 and now I'm 27. Maybe this is the year I will mature, and hopefully get a girlfriend, emphasis on hopefully. I star-fished the bed as I still hugged the warm duvet that gave me comfort. I yawned loudly, as I sat upright, and took out my vlogging camera.
I explained how I had already done the balloons so I could go to the gym and made my Alexa sing happy birthday I mean you only get one a year. I soon enough forced myself out of the comfort of my bed, and began to make my way downstairs. Oh no! Maybe doing the balloons last night wasn't a good idea. Definitely not a smart move Joe, whoops. They hadn't even lasted twelve hours and now they were lifelessly laying on the floor, all that hard work wasted.
Quietly, I chuckled to myself, I really was hyperbolic sometimes. I drew my attention away from this balloon scenario and instead focused on the grumbling of my stomach. With that, I made my way to the kitchen, and began preparing scrambled egg on toast such a classic.
Okay, maybe I do put a bit too much tomato sauce on, but yolo right. It was delicious that's all that matters and I even got to have a nice conversation with my mum whilst I ate as well as replying to birthday messages from Strictly people, family and friends.
It clicked that Byron wasn't up yet so I opened his door screaming his name. His sleepily sounding South African accent replied with Happy Birthday before I made my way upstairs to get ready and soon headed off to the gym.
As the door creaked opened, I aimlessly called out to my roommate to be greeted by two unexpected guests. Of course it had to be Zalfie, with a huge cake sat on the footsall table. I was mesmerised. Although, it was nice to be able to catch up with them both as I proceeded to then arrange the different foods out on the breakfast counter before giving the area a quick run around. Oh yeah, the balloons are sorted, thanks to the amazing people I am lucky to have in my life.

"It's DIANNEEEEE" was sounded throughout the whole room, as I happily got up and went over to Di, pulling here into a hug.
Zoe, was wrong! Ha! I know it's mean but I just loved the adamant tone she had in her voice earlier on. Right now I was definitely a bit too tipsy. I was in the middle of what technically is the kitchen dancing (rather inappropriately may I add) with my dance partner.
*Time Skip to Bed*
One thing for sure was that it had been one of the best nights ever, and frankly, I am extremely great full that I do not have to train tomorrow. Yet, somehow, sitting here as content with life as I could be, there was still a pit of unease - maybe it's just the alcohol talking.
