Instead of going to the boardroom, Allona and Laura decided to leave MGOC office and went to the nearest convenient store. They know that the Monteiro brothers will look for them since the presentation will start in a few minutes.
True enough, they are still in cue at the cashier when both of their phones vibrates and Daniel’s name flashes on Allona’s phone while Victor’s in Laura’s. Both ladies ignore the calls and comfortably settle at the table and chairs provided for the convenient store’s customers. Then immediately after their phone stops vibrating, another call gets through at Laura’s and this time Alice’s name flashes on her phone screen. As what Laura did with Victor, she just let it rings until it stops.
“Tama ba ‘tong ginagawa natin?” Allona then asked while she turns her phone off
“Marupok lang sis?” Laura asked
“It is not that sis, ako pa ba eh hanggang langit ang inis ko ngayon kay Daniel. Kaya lang may ibang tao kasing maapektuhan. For sure aligaga na ang mga tao sa MGOC kakahanap sa atin habang eto tayo at kumakain ng chips sa convenient store sa harap lang ng building” Allona replied
“Hayaan mo silang maging aligaga, babalik din naman tayo eh after ten minutes, ubusin na muna natin ‘tong chips para kumalma tayo nang konti” Laura said
“Ewan ko naman sa iyo, between sa ating dalawa mas may reason akong mainis kasi nga di ba pakiramdam ko itinatago ako. Pero ikaw sis, asawa ka na ni Kuya Victor, you have all the rights to deal with that Stella pero pinabayaan mo lang. Tapos iniwan mo pa silang dalawa sa room ni Kuya Victor. Unlike me, girlfriend pa lang, ni hindi pa nga fiancée” Allona said
“Excuse me, according to Daniel, nagpakasal kayo noon sa Korea” Laura said
“But that was just a wedding ceremony, hindi nga registered yun. So technically, girlfriend lang ako. Kung ako ang may karapatan na katulad ng sa iyo malamang hinila ko ang buhok ng Stella na yun palabas ng opisina” Allona said
“Yan ang wag mong gagawin, kahit may karapatan ka, you should still maintain your poise and elegance. Walang lalaking gustong maiiskandalo sila. Handle the situation with finesse and sophistication. Also, I trust Victor, alam ko na kahit isang batalyong babae pa ang iwan ko sa opisina nya, he will remain faithful to me” Laura said
“Paano mo naman nasabi yan?” Allona asked
“Well, I am confident that Victor loves me so much and I make sure that he knows what am I capable of doing in case na magloko sya. Itong ginagawa natin ngayon is only a reminder to him on what’s instore for him in case he cheats. Parang kanina, grabe yung rant mo kay Daniel, sobrang binugahan mo ng apoy, at nakita kong mahal ka talaga nya, hindi ka pinatulan eh” Laura said
“Nakakainis kasi eh. Alam mo yung pakiramdam na parang balewala lang ako? Its been weeks since the last time I talked to Hans and yet, Daniel still allows other girls to flirt on him” Allona replied.
“You know how the Monteiro Brothers values their personal lives” Laura said
“Yes but I could not understand why was I not introduced as his girlfriend kanina. Did you see kung paano kiligin yung Sabrina na yun nung tinanggap ni Daniel yung binigay nyang cheesecake?” Allona said
“Wag kang magagalit sis, para sa akin lang naman ‘to. Even if I find Daniel a playful one, he is still a gentleman. He is right, it will be impolite not to accept the gift but that does not mean that he denies his relationship with you. Hindi lang yun ang tamang timing, Sabrina is a lady too and she also deserves to be respected. I am not saying this because she is our friend but because she is only acting based on what she knows. Unlike that Stella, ipinakilala na ako ni Victor na asawa nya, ang kapal pa rin ng mukha na pumulupot sa asawa ko” Laura said
