Took the bullet for you, but it spirals in slow motion.
Shed the tears for you, but they don't seem to dry.
I care for you too much to be broken,
But would you care for me, even if I'm already broken?
We've been down this road before, I followed too close behind.
Hearts beating faster, eyes gazing farther, wouldn't it be lovely?
To take the slightest look into what we could've been?
Chase the stars, explore the horizon, why can't we see it all?
Who knows about the beautiful elements of love blind to the naked eye?
The things we yearn for are too far from our reach,
Oh, how I wish they'd connect us somehow.
My wishes are nothing but a fantasy,
A fantasy that continues to expand in my wildest dreams.
To the ones we love, to the ones we cherish,
Are they enough to satisfy our craving, will you beg to differ?
We were only a simple pawn in our own games,
A forgotten cherry tree in our forests,
It wasn't until you bloomed in the sunrise of spring,
That my eyes took advantage of the sight to see.
The spark that grew into a glorious flame, is now just a feeble ember.
I painfully wait for it to distinguish.
Patiently for the fate that is soon to come.
I've finally found you, but where am I?
I'm nowhere to be seen, at least it seems as if I'm utterly invisible.
You shine too bright to be able to see me, all eyes are on your figure.
How I prayed your eyes were on me, how I pray they were.
The mesmerising skies soon swirled into a plain and frightening gray,
When you, the beautiful cherry tree, started to lose your precious petals.
To the start of those days where our little talks lessened to nothing but shy greetings.
I saw how your soul got the best of you, the way it filled your eyes with sorrow,
And I instantly just wanted to see the old you that I used to know.
The way your head hung down to the floor, like a wilting flower,
And how you'd look at me with those now empty eyes, the ones that used to brighten,
At the sight of anything that brought you joy and laughter.
I've finally found myself, but where are you?
You're nowhere to be seen, it seems that you want to be utterly invisible.
I shine too bright to be able to see you, but what if all I want to see is you?
How I prayed that you'd notice that I wanted, that I needed you, how I wish you knew.
We both know that I'm not the one you love,
The one who gives you the triumph that I can't give you.
A broken chain, but the lock remains intact.
A fractured relationship, that we both want to restore.
I don't want to lose you, I dream to remain right by your side.
When one is no longer needed, the memories are clearer than asked for,
A promise too broken to be kept,
And a secret too revealed to keep concealed.
What's the point of chasing after you when I know I'll never catch up to you?
Face it, my dear, for our love remains lost,
Under the raging waves of the sea and in the glowing stars of outer space.
But whether it is found or not,
I hope to see your smile that used to make my shallow heart flutter.
Take my hand and walk with me,
Go on a journey with me and sought for what we desire the most.
Make it your adventure of a lifetime,
A kaleidoscope of our thoughts hidden in our imaginations,
If our adventure lasts for eternity, I wouldn't mind it with you by my side.
