Remember when you felt
the sun against your skin,
and it told you
that you could do anything?
When the moon gazed
at your sun-kissed lips,
and then told you
to raise your head?
You shouldn't forget
how the wind would tangle
its fingers in your hair,
telling you to make things fair.
So hold your fists
like the rain taught you—
even with tears tapping your shoulder,
guard that pretty face.
My sweet darling,
nothing's been filled with more grace
than the way your legs dance
upon the earth;
So don't be afraid,
for this world has been conquered
since the moment
of your birth.
