To many, the majesty of space was incomprehensible. Most sentient beings in the Universe remained on firm ground for the majority of their lives. Those that didn't, took refuge in the various 'Cicls' in each galaxy. There, the endless void of stars and low-gravity seemed like a threat - something that residents were protected from by the transport systems built into the stations.

To Bonnie, however, space was a highway - a means to an end. The end for this job, a near-forgotten city named Koer, was in sight.

"Miles, how's the approach looking?"

The android's voice rang through the speaker on Bonnie's control console, the voice lilted with a Texan accent.

"Clear skies as far as I can see, ma'am, but if you wanna match orbit, there's a small amount of matter activity just above Koer."

Bonnie sighed, deactivating the warp drive as they reached sensor range.

"Shields up?" The captain asked, flicking switches above her to cool the engines.

"Affirmative, might be a little bumpy, but we won't get sucked through."

Bonnie smiled gladly, pushing the flight stick as far forwards as it would go to try and push through the still-forming wormhole before it became an issue. Whilst keeping Miles, whos official designate was Minos-173:Shorun, was risky for many reasons, he did his job well.

As the ship travelled through the danger zone, the lights on the console all simultaneously went dead, along with the thrusters.

"Miles? Buddy?"

Miles' lack of response worried Bonnie, but there was little she could do with no power and no engines.

"God damn it," the smuggler sighed, standing up from her chair to investigate the engine room, "last time I buy from Ty-Tir suppliers."

She pried the hatch into the engine room open with a crowbar, dropping into the narrow space between the two engines.

"Beep! Light please!"

Beep, technically known as Boron-33/Paris, floated down from its holder on the console and increased the brightness of its inner sphere.

"Thank you!"

Beep chirped back happily, its metal panels spinning slowly to keep it afloat.

After fishing around in the engines and finding no blockages, Bonnie decided that kicking both engines until something happened was the best course of action. This also proved fruitless, leaving Bonnie with no option but to haul herself out of the room, slump back in her chair, and wait for the ship to drift itself out of the unstable space.

"Ma'am?"

Miles' voice rang out across the ship, waking up Bonnie with a grunt. The damaged military helmet she'd been messing around with before dropping off was lowered over her eyes, which initially panicked her, before she realised what was going on and took off the hat bashfully.

"You there Miles?" Bonnie asked, glancing about the craft - now notably more lit up.

"Alive and kicking, ma'am," the android responded, "'fraid I don't know what happened back there, but we're out of the activity zone now. Ten mitrons to the port."

"Thanks bud." Bonnie smiled, pressing a series of buttons to hand over control exclusively to Miles, who began the approach to the Koer Space Port. Beep began whining, which wasn't unusual when Miles was in charge of the ship. but something about the tone it was using worried Bonnie.

"What's wrong, Beep?"

The drone lifted up and began flitting about the control room hurriedly, almost as though looking for something.
