A New Beggining

Hair. Check. Bag. Check. Shoes. Check. Makeup. Check. Ok, I'm good to go. "I'M READY" I shouted while opening my bedroom door. It's my first day and I'm a tad nervous. I waddled to the front door and stepped out side. A whiff of the summer air and you've lost me. Might as well be daydreaming. I can just imagine, the gorgeous beach at this very moment, the waves the sand the sky, everything.The sharp noise of my mothers heels clicking on the tiles snapped me from my thoughts. "Oh, darling, you look gorgeous!" She sniffles " My baby, all grown up!"Mum whines. I love the woman but she always has to but on a show. " Mum, it's just a new school, you can calm down." She instantly changes her emotion and smiles "Okay darling, now hop in the car" she said as she skips to the drivers seat. Scream goodbye to the rest of my family and plump my self in the passenger seat. Not soon afterwards I arrived at school to see my best friend Tara running up to my car " YOUR HERE FINALLY YOUR HERE OH IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOOOO LONG" she shou- screams through the car window. I try to say hello but all that comes out is a monstrous laughter. Yeah, she's crazy and so am I. I give my mum a kiss and walk over to where the rest of the students are waiting. It doesn't take long for Tara to start introducing me to all of her friends. There was Alana, Zara, Imogen, coco, molly, bridie, Mattea, Taylah, Kihn kihn, jack, James, Cooper, Noah, Louie but there was a few people she hadn't introduced me to " Who. Is. That." I asked with drool practically coming out of my mouth. A gorgeous tan boy with the blondest locks and unnaturaly (but breathtaking) aqua blue eyes that instantly shot in my direction, I quickly snapped my head to Tara's direction so I wasn't court staring. "Him? Oh, that's Jai. Practically everyone here is in love with him, not me though, I would never be interested in that ratbag, I'm guessing he's not your type either?"Tara said, but I'd barley heard. It was safe for me to stare at him again because he was talking to James and Noah. Realising I was taking a while to reply I decided to not tell Tara my instant attraction to Jai. Jai. Such a manly name. "Heeeeeell nah! Never in a million years. And besides, I'm to good for him" I said proudly sneaking him a wink. "Anyway, so, who's your him?" I actually wanted to know. Now that I had a good friend I was intrested. "Me?" She asked looking around. I nodded with a slightly confused look in my face. "Oh, no one. Everyone here just isn't right." Bull crap. "Yeah. I believe you." I said sarcastically. So after a tour and lunch I got to know a few people and dam St Johns is a real fine school. So many rules and regulations. I don't like it. Hey at least there's no uniform. Talking about clothes Tara looks gorgeous today!

I've  actually surprised we're allowed to wear anything to school, its great. We're even allowed our phones in class. Anyway I've  been keeping an eye out for Jai well I think he might have noticed my staring at him every 5 seconds but let's not get into that. *gasps* he's coming up to me " hey! Phoenix right?" Oh he has such a husky voice " yeah, and Jai is it?" I ask trying not to sound desperate "correct, so where'd you move from?" He's such a conversationalist " uh, Tyalla, great school but Tara needed me so I thought why not, and lets just say I need a fresh start" I say with a chuckle. his warm smile reveals his perfect, pearly whites. I think I just fell in love all over again. "Yeah, great school this, when I first moved everyone was really warm and welcoming so hopefully they are for you too" wait, did he just say he moved, I'm not sure, I was to busy drowning in his eyes "oh, where did you move from?" Wow, I'm intrested "oh, just Northside" Northside? Really? "Oh, that's not far from here, you miss it?" He thought for a bit " Ah, yeah I guess, but not that much," how could he not miss it, first, I've not even spent a day here and I miss my old family sooo much and second, Northside is like the best school ever "it wasn't a very friendly school, anyway." That  makes sense " I get you" there was an awkward silence for a bit a lot of blushing and staring at the ground for the both of us "umm, I've actually been going round collecting all the new peoples numbers so do you recon..." he didn't finish his sentence but he didn't have to " year sure" I said reaching into my back pocket. I gave him my phone as he game me his. "Alright, well I'd better go find Tara and see what she's up to but it was nice meeting you" I'd given his phone back "yeah, we should talk again some time" he started to walk away, I cleared my throat and scratched my nose "oh yeah, sorry" he handed me back my phone, I tried not to laugh, but I accidentally let out a chuckle, I patted him on the shoulder and waved him goodbye. I turned to him rubbing the back of his neck. OH MY GOD HE LOOKED SOOOOO HOT.I walk around for a bit and just think to myself should I tell Tara? Does she need to know? Because of last year I guess I will have a bit of trouble trusting people but it's Tara, yep, I'll tell her. I get back to the year 6 area and I spot Tara chatting to Coco and Louie. "Hey hey! How's it goin?" I ask "All good, Ive just been talking to Coco and Louie who have been looking for a new group of friends" Tara overly exaggerates "new" and "friends" "Really? Huh, we should,ah, hang out some time" we all chuckled "yeah, you guys are so nice and funny" coco nuged my shoulder "ahaha!"Louie made us all laugh for a while until the bell went and we all went home. Today was great.

Jais Pov

I walk into school wearing my black hoodie and grey rip curl bordies. I dump my bag next to the other boys bags and I walk over to James and Noah went a beautiful girl court my eye. Her smile lightened up my day and she made school sound good. "...Jai, Jai,Jai! Oi!" James raised his voice at me a little I snap my head in his direction "don't you agree?" Noah asked me slowly nodding his head. "Uh, y-yeah" I honestly have no idea what they were talking about. "Who's that girl talking to Tara?" I ask the both of them " Who, Phoenix?" I nod my head " she's Tara's best friend, she came this year cuz of the drama they've both had." Phoenix. Phoenix. Phoenix. Damn, this girl ain't getting out of my head anytime soon is she? During the tour of the school (witch we have every year, that I find highly unnecessary) and lunch I could feel Phoenix looking at me witch was great. I'm also glad that she didn't catch me staring at her. Oh she's so pretty. But so lonely. Where's Tara? I decide to walk over to her. "Hey! Phoenix right?" I ask her hoping to get a reply "yeah, and Jai right?" Her voice is so soothing "correct, so where'd you move from?" Correct? Really Jai? Correct! "Uh! Tyalla. Great school but Tara needed me so I thought why not, and let's just say I needed a fresh start" she said with a chuckle. Her laugh is so reassuring. I decided to give her a smile "yeah great school this, when I first moved everyone was really warm and welcoming so hopefully they are for you too" hopefully that made her feel a bit better "in, where'd you move from?" Oh crap. Do I have to tell her. "Oh, just Northside" please have a good reaction "oh that's not far from here, you miss it?" Nope "ah, yeah u guess but not that much" it was the worst place ever "it wasn't a very friendly school anyway" no one should go there it's the worst "I get you" those words just sunk in and I started to blush I looked at the ground, she did the same, this went in for a while then I decided to make an excuse to get her number "umm, Iva actually been going around and collecting all the new peoples numbers so do you recon..." I couldn't finish the sentence, I would've died. I hoped she understood what I meant and she did, she passed me her phone and I passed her mine, I put my contacts in and hopefully things would've escalated from there "alright it was nice meeting you but I'd better go find Tara and see what she's up to" I nod my head as she passed my phone back " yeah we should talk again some time" I start to walk away when she clears her through and scratches her nose I then realise I still have her phone. Great one Jai. "Oh, yeah sorry" I hand her phone back trying to hide my now hot face. She pats me on the shoulder and waves me goodbye. Her touch is like nothing I've experienced. I thought to myself for a while and due to the embarrassment I had just experienced I rubbed the back of my neck. I decided to go over to Adonai, Noah and James and I chatted to them for the rest of the day but yeah it was a good day.
