My Brother's Best Friend

Moving In

"I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!" I shout in our new huge ass house. 

"ME EITHER" My brother's girlfriend Kat yells as she hugs me tight. 

Just as we are standing there trying to figure out rooms and where our things should go for the moment.

We begin setting up our living room unpacking our kitchen supplies and await everyone else arrival.

"WE HOME BITCHES !!!" Sam screams as he enters the house.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP DRAMA QUEEN" I yell in my upstairs room. Kat and Sam shared a room, Corey and Devyn got a room to themselves also, Colby and I got our own rooms, Aaron, Jake, and Elton got their own rooms.

The rooms had been a little small, not Corey and Devyn's or Sam and Kat's rooms though, those were huge.

~2 hours later after everyone got home and finished unpacking~

 "Long time no see?" Colby says standing in my door way. I smile and hug him quickly.

"Yeah because you assholes moved so far away.." I tear up and hug him tighter as he hugs me back. We always flirted when we figured out how to. I was only 12 when we met, Sam and Colby were 14.  Now hes 20 and I just turned 18. Sam hates Colby's and I's relationship. Hes like one of my best friends. 

"Sooo..." He says letting go, " I heard you have a youtube channel and are getting pretty big on it...Wanna colab?" 

"Maybe.." I playfully nudge him as I smile, "We are all gonna colab because literally everyone here is a YouTuber." I laugh out.

I walk away and go into the kitchen to begin cooking and realize there is literally no toilet paper here or food. "Fuck..." I whisper and quickly run to my room and past Colby. I throw on short shorts and a crop top and throw my long brownish blondish hair up in a bun. As I grab my purse and open my door I see Colby standing in front of my door. 

"Hey I ..uh.. I just saw you run up here and I was gonna knock to see if you were okay, but you look okay so I uh..." He stumbles to find words. 

"Oh..yeah I'm fine, we have no food so I'm gonna get food to make for tonight for everyone.." I smile up at him, small freckles cover my face. I changed a lot since I've seen Colby last. Mostly growing in my boobs and ass area. 

"Why are you wearing short shorts and a crop top...aren't you worried a guy will creep on you? " He wonders out loud. 

" I mean since the last time you saw me...a lot of bad things happened." I look down and walk past him. "I will never live alone or be home alone again. That's all I am willing to say right now." 

He stares at me intently. "Meredith...I'm sorry we left. Sam went back to Kansas last winter...and wouldn't tell me why even. He just said it was a family thing. Your brother has never kept anything from me, I've know you guys for most of my teen years and I...Never mind just tell me anything when your ready. But I'm coming with you." He said dragging where ever he was going on and on. 

"Fine..." I whispered as I walked out the door unlocking my car. I began vlogging our adventure to the store when we first got in my car. "Hey Mere Squad! I am here today with COLBY BROCK! and where are we goin Colbs!" I ask panning the camera his way. 

"We are going to a grocery story!" He says loudly smiling and doing jazz hands. I laugh a little snorting. "While she drives I am gonna be telling you guys a story," He smirks and looks my way a little. I give a look that clearly says I am confused. 

"Why are you taking over my vlog COLBS!" I yell playfully. 

"I am going to tell everyone the story of the day we met." He smiled sweetly, wow I missed that smile and I missed his eyes, his gorgeous ocean eyes. They were the reason I never cried after the incident back home. "So she is two years younger than I. Sam and I met in middle school and she was in 5th grade and I was in 7th grade. Sam and I begun to hang out alot and he talked about his little sister Merebear. Well one day we were picking her up after school anddd.....we found her being beat up at a park across the street, by a kid in our grade. Well Sam and I beat the crap out of this school bully. I ended up carrying her home. Ever since shes been here for me and I've been  here for her." I tear up as I pull into a parking spot in the grocery store. "WELP story time over adventure begins." He says into the camera. I take it and turn it off. 

I get out and walk into the store grabbing a cart as Colby won't stop trying to vlog me. I run to the chicken and dairy, I grab pork chops, chicken breasts, taco meat, milk, and cheese. He catches up to me and tries to grab me. I laugh loudly, my hair falling out of its ponytail. 

After all that I get other food items and things like toilet paper, shaving cream, razors, paper toweling, and other house hold cleaning items. As we check out I notice the cashier boy checking out Colby as he scanning our groceries. "How are you doing? " He smiles at Colby. 

"Good how about you?"  Colby asks smiling back. I hold back a laugh realizing Colby has no clue this guy is checking him out. 

"Hey--" I say butting in on their convo. "You seem nice can I have your number? Maybe we can hang out and you could show me around. Im new in town and I have no clue where anything is." I smile at him. 

"Sure, why not? I'm Jay by the way." He smiles back and quickly wrights his number down on my receipt, after he hands it over I wave to him as Colby pushes the cart to my car. 

--At home after shopping--

We put everything away and hugged. "I missed my Cole." I smile blushing. 

"And I missed my Merebear." He hugged tighter. "Goodnight Mere." He said as he let go. 

I ran to my room upstairs. "He missed me." I whispered blushing more. I finally went to sleep after a long great day of seeing my brother and best friend.
