The Last Magicians

The Legend

It was the realm the gods failed to control.

There were monsters unimaginable to anyone, even to the gods.

Zareus, God of Destruction was banished to the Nightmare Realm, for he almost destroyed the Realm of the God's. The God's scryed into the Nightmare Realm and saw that Zareus was gaining power. They realized their mistake of banishing him instead of killing him after some time, so the God's, with their most powerful magicians (witches, wizards, and warlocks) to the Nightmare Realm, to defeat the evil that was Zareus. The God's were mistaken, thinking that they could easily take Zareus out with all the God's and their forces. By this point Zareus ruled the Nightmare Realm, so he had creatures in his power that were unimaginable to them, with such strong powers. A long and hard battle was fought, but inevitably, they lost. Of course, the gods couldn't be killed, but the magicians could be, and most were. Most. Zareus made sure to drain the God's of any power they had, for some time at least. He tried to kill the remaining magicians, but they escaped, and all of them have scattered across the realms. Ever since then, Zareus has ruled over the Nightmare Realm, the God's are in a resting phase (basically trying to gain power back over a period of time) and the magicians are around the realms/worlds.

Our story happens to start at a place in the Mortal Realm and starts on a planet called Earth

I'm really happy how this turned out, it was fun making this legend even though this part is pretty short (I wrote this on mobile by the way, so it looks longer than it actually is) I want to hook people on with this first chapter. I hope people come and join me on the journey with this story
