Hypnos
A leather clad hand tightened around his throat and she brought his lips to his ear, "Sleep." The word, only a whisper, seemed to resonate around the mans' mind, his world suddenly turning dark. She let go of his throat - the only thing supporting him - and he fell down to the concrete.
"I see you've been busy, Hypnos."
She didn't bother turning around considering she knew exactly who's voice called out to her. Instead, she knelt down to the fallen man and started patting down his pockets.
"I'm always busy, Bird Boy." Hypnos pulled a burner phone from the mans' jacket and tucked it into her pocket. "Actually I'm glad you turned up," she stood up from her kneeling position and reached for the gun in her holster. "Killing you tonight would be the icing on the cake, Robin."
Robin's eyes gleamed at the anticipation of yet another fight with his nemesis. Hypnos - the one woman he just couldn't take down. Robin liked the challenge though. Gotham was too easy sometimes.
"Cake sounds nice actually," Robin extended his baton and started walking towards Hypnos. "Maybe after I take you in."
A chuckle escaped Hypnos' mouth. "Don't be so sure of that."
With that, she pulled the trigger.
The bullet hit the metal throwing star over Robin's heart, forcing him back a few metres. Robin groaned as he got back up and picked out the throwing star the bullet hit from his suit. He smiled sarcastically at Hypnos before throwing it at her.
Hypnos saw it coming. She liked to think she knew all his tricks by now; it had been over a year of their cat and mouse chase. She rolled forward, missing the throwing star and got back to her feet.
Robin anticipated it and already had his baton ready in his hand. He charged forward and swung for Hypnos' abdomen but was stopped by her block. She threw a punch to his cheekbone, but he retaliated, jabbing the baton into her stomach.
Hypnos was left winded and Robin took the opportunity to grab the back of her head. Before he could slam her to the ground, Hypnos put a sickly sweet smile on her face.
Robin raised his eyebrows at her.
"As much as I love our play fights, Robin, I have to run." With those parting words, Hypnos wrapped her leg around the back of his knee and pulled him down to the ground.
The heel of her thigh high boots dug into his stomach before she kicked Robin's side as a parting gift.
"See you around bird boy." She threw a wink at him before retreating out of the warehouse.
Hypnos' footsteps echoed off into the distance as Robin laid on the concrete floor, trying to regain his breath.
He wondered how Hypnos could still fight in stiletto boots after all this time.
