There are only three things in life that matter to me religion, family and Jumin Han. Things have been different for me all my life. I grew up in the same as neighborhood as Jumin, so I have known him my entire exitance on this earth. My parents were often gone on business trips leaving me with only our nanny and my older brother. The public often says I was born privileged, that if I lost everything over night I wouldn't know what to do. That I would just roll over and die. The one who taught me to look out for myself and trust myself was Jumin, that's why he means everything to me. That's why I only consider him my true family.

Although I do have an older brother named Eric, he's never really around. As children, Jumin, Eric, Jihyun and myself were very close. Threw out the years Eric got in with a bad crew and would spend weeks away from home, while Jihyun went his separate way as well; he only occasionally calls and sends Christmas cards.

Today will be different from my lonely past, because my name is (Y/N) Carrington and I control my own fate!

Well that's what I originally thought...

Highschool, the breading ground for future felons and suicidal teens. Here I am, senior year in a elite private academy called Lawrenceville Prep School. Although I live and study in South Korea, my true home is in America. I moved here was I was 7, due to my fathers business. This school just happens to be part of the deal. My aunt runs and owns this school so I get a free ride, similar but different from my brother. I did take admittance tests, Eric did not. Eric and me are both Seniors in Lawrenceville because, he's only older than me by 2 minutes. Long story short, we are twins. Crazy how much of a difference 2 minutes can make on someone's life but, never mind that.

Due to the fact I was born into a very "well off family" my education was quite exclusive. I was home schooled per say. My entire life, I have only really had a handful of friends but, that changes now.

The fresh air and fallen cherry blossoms flows past me in the breeze with my uniform swaying in the wind. My (color hair ) locks flowed behind me as I walked to the welcoming speech. Every new year they pick a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior representative from the top test scores. I was told to prepare a speech just in case I was called due to my high tests scores. I would have been more stressed out if I didn't find out Jumin was attending this school as well. Apparently, he started here last year but barely attended due to business meetings abroad.

"Hey cutie!"

I turn my head and cock my brow at a tall tan boy strutting near me.

"What do you want?" I ask uninterestedly.

"Don't be that way princess, I just wanna get to know you". His slouched figure nears me as I walk past him. He continues to call after me till he suddenly stopped. To my left stood a tall, annoyed Jumin Han. I only awe at him as he glares as the cat caller and rests his arm around my shoulder. "You can leave now, it's quite obvious she does not care for your presence much less your company". Without another word he scampers off, back to the hole crawled out of.

Jumin removes his arm to quickly for my liking but, I still felt his touch lingered. "Thanks for saving me back there" my voice is soft and he lightly smiled. "Don't mention it, your basically my sister after all". With that statement I frown slightly but, recover instantly.

He speaks before I can respond and he avoids my eyes. "The speech will start soon". My mind now wide awake with our current situation as, I grab his wrist and bolt to the auditorium. We barely make it before the doors close and rush off to find our seats. Due to my last name starting with a C and his an H we were separated before to long. But, not before I saw him give me his rare small smile and hand gesture to assure me I can go away. I bound off to my seat and find my self siting right next to my brother. Despite being twins, we look nothing alike. He's tall, tan and has dark brown eyes. To top that off he has ear piercings and red dyed hair. He's the type to be called "The wealthy play boy" or "The heart breaker". Truth be hold, Eric is the nicest person you will ever meet but, only a few know the real him. For now he's just the bad boy in town.

Meanwhile, I'm short, a tiny bit tan for my skin tone and have (Eye color) eyes. I find myself to be pretty but, that's not what I pride myself on. My intelligence is truly where I feel that I'm the best in. (If not to toot my own horn). Like the average good student I get strait A's but I also took it a step further. Out of pure loneliness (and boredom) I learned coding. I find it more as a hobby than a future employment option but, I think I'm somewhat decent about it. I remember I hated to wake up early, so I hacked into my nanny's phone and changed her alarm so it would go off two hours late. In hindsight it probably wasn't the best idea because, she had to buy a new phone the next day.

I'm snapped out of my flash back by the principle calling the senior rep. "Now, students we usually pick the highest score from each year to be our representatives but, we have a surprising change for this year". I hold my breath in anticipation, "please welcome to the stage senior class representatives, Saeyoung Choi and (Y/N) Carrington". As we both reach the stage my Aunt quickly adds in "Both students scored prefect marks on all testing material, congratulations".

I felt my stomach do flips as I started my speech.

(Jumin POV)

"Wow, she's so pretty! It's totally unfair how she's smart to"

"I know right! Its like the system is rigged!"

"Didn't you hear her last name? Carrington, isn't that the name of the owner of Carrington Pacific, The Airline?"

"Are you for real?! She's rich to! That's so rigged".

The bickering of my surrounding classmates almost over powered her speech about how thankful she was and how she will strive to make this the best year for all her classmates. Her words finished quickly as Saeyoung started looking uninterested.

I have known Saeyoung for quite a bit of time but this is the first time he has looked so done.

"Thank you for this opportunity its such an honor, I just hope I will live up to the schools famous reputation and its ideals it holds so dear." He continues on but his voice drowned out but my classmates once again.

"He's a lot more different than what I imagined"

"Look at those bags under his eyes! How is he even a top student when looking like that?"

"Compared to her, he is not the looker of the two".

The speeches finished almost as soon as they started, soon after the crowd files threw the open doors.

((Y/N) POV)

Our speeches finished quickly but as I excited the stage my eyes lingered on my stage partner. Saeyoung, huh? He's quite unique... Before I can finish my thought I hear my name called by a familiar voice. I snap my head to my side as I see Rika and Jihyun with roses. "You did great! I'm so proud of you!" The bouncy blonde states. I have met Rika several times in past with Jihyun, It turns out they are engaged. For what its worth, I'm glad he found someone. "Rika! Jihyun! When did you come! I have missed you so much!"

"Sorry Princess, we have been busy for some time. With work and all..." Jihyun mint hair is brushed back and he has a small smile on his face. I puff out my cheeks and pout. "That's my old nickname! I'm not a kid anymore!" He smiles and says "To me you will always be my small little princess".

We all laugh and talk for another few minutes before Rika gives me the roses. "We will be off now, I have to find my cousin!"

I laugh a little at her enthusiasm but shrug it off. "What's his name?"

"Yoosung, I'm sure you will meet him soon!"

With a few good byes and hugs, they wander into the crowd. Leaving me to smell the freshly cut roses, just like the old days.
