Larry knocked on the wooden frame of Todd's bedroom door. It was open, so he welcomed himself in.
"Hey, Todd. Your mom said you were in here," he scratched the back of his neck, "I need to ask for a favor."
Todd spun around in his chair, tearing his gaze from the computer. "What do you need? You never ask for favors." The ginger pushed his glasses up his nose as he spoke.
Larry gave a soft chuckle, "Yeah I know, but this is kinda important."
"Alright then, what is it?"
You start school in two days, so no one knows who you are yet. The only people who know about you are Ash, Sal, and Larry. Sal had wanted to introduce you to them ages ago, but Ash insisted on keeping you a secret to surprise everyone. This gave Larry enough time to do some...unbiased research.
"I need you to do one of your profile things," Larry told him. "Gather information and all that. Can you?"
"Depends," Todd crossed his arms, "Who and why?"
"This girl, Y/N L/N,"
"Why?" Todd repeated, his skepticism evident in his voice.
Larry looked behind him as if someone would be standing there to give him an excuse. Turning back, he sighed, "It's personal...You still owe me for the whole Neil thing. Think of this as your payback."
Todd huffed, sitting back in his chair. He pulled out a notepad and pen, flipping to a page that wasn't covered in chicken scratch. "Say her name again?"
"Y/N L/N. I need everything: News files, Police reports, any big shopping records- Legal and illegal," Larry listed everything he could think of that would give him something incriminating about you. He usually wasn't one to care about this stuff, but something about you put a knot in his stomach. He hadn't felt anything like it before, so he could only assume it wasn't good.
Todd wrote furiously, shaking his head and sighing as he did so. "That's a lot... You'll have to give me a few days. Check back in on Monday. That'll give me the weekend to get this all together." He looked up at Larry, both concern and curiosity in his eyes. Much to Larry's satisfaction, he didn't push any further.
"Will do," Larry said, slipping out the doorway. He popped his head back in, gave a quick thank you, and made a dash for the exit.

"Come on, Ash, really?"
"Yes, really, now stop whining and go put this on."
Ashley was 'helping' me get ready for my first day of school on Monday. She kept insisting that I needed to look my best. Usually, I'd just throw on a semi-clean shirt and jeans, put on some mascara and concealer, and be on my way. When I told this to Ash, she was less than pleased.
I examined the shirt Ash had pulled out of her closet, my nose scrunching up. We had originally searched my room, but Ash dragged me to her place when she saw the piles of half-unpacked boxes and mountains of clothes stuffed in corners.
"A crop top?" I playfully sneered, "Seriously? Do you see these folds?" I dramatically motioned to my stomach, earning a giggle from the both of us.
"You're fine. Go put it on."
I huffed, walking into the bathroom and locking the door behind me. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and I couldn't help but smile. I really like my new friends. Well, except for Larry. Ashley and Sal were ok. So I guess I only like those two.
I just hope I don't ruin it.
As I stepped out of the bathroom, I looked ash in the eyes and gave her the most sarcastic look I could muster.
