Note: if I do 'this' that means the character is thinking.

Sighing Teresa grabbed her backpack and closed the front door behind her quietly. She walked along the surprisingly deserted main road towards the park she often go to at this time of day. It was quiet and had some lamps near the benches so she could write and read.

Tonight felt different though, like something in her heart was leading her not to the park but to the beach. Teresa loved the beach and the summer but rarely went there at night. While she was stuck in her thoughts she found herself already with her feat in the sand. 'I'm already here' she thought, 'no point going back.'

Sitting down on the sand breathing in the sea salt air that reminded her of home. The crash of the waves sent Teresa into a quiet frenzy of stories. Pulling out her writing book and pen she scribbled down her thoughts as fast as she could.

She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice how the wind grew harsher and how the waves crashed louder, desperate to get her attention. But it was to late. She didn't know that anything was happening until she heard the gunshot.

The bullet embedded itself into her arm. Teresa rolled, dodging the next two bullets. She tried to runaway from the beach But her assailant was quicker than she had anticipated. Before she knew it Teresa was full of bullet wounds and knocked to the ground. She looked up to see a clocked woman holding a gun. Beside her was a strongly built man. They stood at around 160cm and 195cm tall. The man stepped towards her and Teresa tried to move back. The man just grabbed her wrist so tightly she knew he would break her bones. He dipped his finger in her own blood and started to paint the sand around her. He drew pictures and scrawling words in a circle and released her arm, her wrist fractured. The blood turned green and then black before she fell into the abyss.

Darkness was everywhere. There was no light and Teresa thought she had been blinded. She looked down to see a hole that showed the tops of trees and a sun set. There was green writing circling the hole. She tried to gasp but there was no air. She clawed at her throat trying to open an airway. Her chest started to hurt, then it was burning. Fire make its way through her lungs and up her throat. Panic flooded her veins. She was going to die. She was so sure of it. She opened her eyes as darkness clouded her vision.

She opened her eyes and Blinding light was all she saw. Wind ripped at her as her stomach dropped. She breathed. Then blinked. She could breath again. She tried inhaled lots of air as she fell. She couldn't move. The bullets had taken their affect. Blood soaked her through. She head was spinning as she couldn't tell if it was from the lack of oxygen or from the lack of blood. It didn't matter now did it? She was plummeting from the sky. She knew she would die.

She accepted it. Death did not scare her. She had walked hand in hand with death many times. 'Maybe this time death would pull harder than life and I would tumble into the afterword with it. Maybe this time life won't be able to save me. Maybe the Lady of Darkness would win against the Lady of Light.' Teresa's eyes closed. 'Would her girls find her body? Would they be ok? Would they continue to be my sisters? What about the boys. Would they grieve my death. And my father will he still love me even though I'm gone?'

A voice talked to Teresa. Powerful and elegant. She didn't bother to listen to it. It filled the corners of her mind. But she didn't care anymore. 'There was no escape from this fate. I couldn't sprout wings or teleport. I couldn't control the wind or get animals to save me. I had only myself, and I would fail.' The voice stoped. Before it came back a bit desperate and frantic. "Hold on! Fight!"

She felt skin against her's. It was under her legs and around her back. Teresa cracked open her eyes and saw a man with hair as dark as the night and bat like wings. 'He must of sent one of his demons to get her. How interesting. She was important enough to be saved.'

The voice sounded again. 'Fight! Fight death. Please I can't loose you!" It was so desperate it make Teresa pause. She breathed, in and out. 'Whether she was alive or not she would fight. She was not weak. She was feared and loved and she wouldn't give up that easily.' She cracked a smile. She studied the demon. The demon's began to turn from red to a tan and his horns disappeared. 'Was that her imagination or did he transform? Did she just imagine he was a demon?' The man's face was set in worry and he flew. Flew. 'This man could fly.' But instead of bat like wings he had angle wings. But it was like the image was cutting in and out. Sometimes the man's wings were angel wings and sometimes the were like a demons.

A head ache formed and Teresa blinked. This man had only been carrying her for a little while but she still didn't have he strength to talk to him, she couldn't even twitch a finger. All she could do was blink and breath and even that was near impossible and Excruciating. Each breath was uneven and hard. It would send her skin ripping and the bullets would go deeper into her body. She needed to live. To get out of here. Darkness formed at the edge of her vision. Before long she was swept under.
