People were always so quick to judge. Her mother got pregnant at a young age and ironically her best friend did also. The looks and stares strangers give to a young woman bringing life into this world is tough. Not only do they learn to quickly mature but to also grow a bigger backbone.

Regina had to learn this herself as her mother died when she was younger due to a drunk driver. Her mother wasn't there to hold her hand to walk her to school, or even to see her fall in love for the first time and catch her when it ended in heartbreak. The Latina household quickly took the girl in with open arms after her moms death, and the youngest in the household, Jane, quickly gained another sister and in the future a niece that the Villanueva's spoil and adore. Jane was the only one who knew the full story of what happened between Regina and her baby daddy. They story was one that came out like in the novelas. Boy spills drink on girl, the she proceeds to slap him and walk away. Then they became a couple after many pleas and negotiating on the boy's side.  They were together for two years until girl finds out about his lies.

She ends up pregnant to with her daughter. He never found out and she never wanted him to after they broke up, until a mistake happens and Regina finds out that might be harder than she anticipated.
