Clear. Was the sky's that day. Quiet. Was the opposite of the rumors flying around school. Sacrifice. Was the one thing I was told not to do. Was to sacrifice my self for others. But daddy never told me to give up on something I stood up for. Something I felt shouldn't be left unheard.

5 months ago I didn't think my town would be this way. 5 months ago I thought we would just be another family in this small ass town. But God had other plans for my family.

I can't start a story without a beginning. So I guess I have to go back to when shit was right. When this town was nothing but another hood town.

I live with my momma, daddy, and two brothers. The oldest is Darrius, he ain't ever not have his damn headphones away from him.  He ain't my real brother, he's my step brother. Come from daddy's side. Daddy had him when him and momma were on a break. Knocked up some girl. Now Darrius sees her once or twice a month. But we still close. Close enough for me to talk to him. Then there's the youngest Darnell. He might just jumped up to 3rd grade but damn, kids got a lot of sense for a 9 year old. He knows when to shut up and when to speak up. One time he daddy said something real stupid, and this little boy come knocking some sense into daddy. Ain't ever forget that.

Now momma had me when she was 17, she was kicked out her own house for being pregnant because she never wanted to leave daddy's side. I would be lying if I said they were to clingy. They the otp. The one true pairing.

Daddy's another story. He's been in some deep shit with gangs and jail. When he was 18 he was in jail with his father. Never wanted to experience or know something like that. He always told me that he would change once Raven had me. He never stopped loving me or my momma. On the streets of my town he's , Trip, don't know why. But every time when he used to hang out with his gang they called him Trip. Haven't seen any them for years....

Now the neighbor hood I'm in is like every other one. If that is your towns have hoods and gangs in them.

Wolf creek. The town that's got drugs, young moms and alcohol. Sounds like your average every day kind of town. Nah. It's different you don't get the right drugs. You shot. Don't do what you're asked. You shot. Snitching on people who got gangs. You dead.

That's how it is in the hood. But I don't go to the school. The hood school ain't right.

It's filled with Everyone know when everything about you no matter who you are how popular you are or how weak you are. Everyone knows everything At that damn school.

I go to a rich. White. School. And there ain't nothing wrong with that. But me and my brother Darrius.. only blacks there. Mama thought that it would be safer for us to go to that school instead of that hood school. Why? Because say the wrong words you get shot in that school. She doesn't want that to happen to us like it happened to my friend.

I ain't here to give you a life story. I'm here to speak for people I know should be spoken for. So here are my words. Either listen. Or deny.
