I'm not exactly sure if this is gonna be a short story with a few chapters or a full on fic, but I just want to try writing another AU, I'd really like to know what you guys think, and if you'd like more of this. Please note: What is written about the foster care system in this story is fiction. It's not something terrible or corrupt- rather it helps so many children each year, and the vast majority of foster families do everything to make the child feel welcome and happy.

"The boy who you're working for, you look really stupid in front of him. Like um, like Mr. Pigwidgeon"

"Sorry. Uncle Daniel?
" Yes Luca?"
"Goodnight." The young boy's voice seemed to almost be a whisper. The world was draining on him, and Daniel knew it was only a matter of time before it would. The thought of sending Luca away tore at his heart, he was selfish in that way he knew.To keep him in such an unsuitable place for thriving.
He looked at the young boy, and a surge of warmth overtook him. He remembered how happy he was when they went to Universal, Daniel having to bust his ass working for months to just afford it. He remembered when later that day, the small frightened boy cried at the undying fear of being sent away. He knew what they were into, despite how hard Daniel tried to hide the truth.
But he also remembers the promise he made. The hope that had filled the young boy's eyes when he said he loved him, and he wouldn't let anything take that away.
He was ready, come what may.
