Do you recognize this symbol? If yes, carry on. If no, don't, because you won't understand the content anyway. And return the letter to where you took it from so someone, who understands, can read it.
If you're still reading this, I assume that your belief is the same as mine and our Lord chose you so we can share our secrets. If you don't want to continue this, do the same as a non-believer. If yes, answer my letter and leave the reply here, at the exact place you took the letter from. Because I want to stay anonymous, I will reveal just my first name.
With a firm belief,
Agnes
I looked at the letter. It was my first handwriting and it looked like that. The words were messy and slanted, but they were still readable. Again, I started to think if this was a good idea. What if it falls into wrong hands and I get reported and possibly executed? I'm not of high status, so it wouldn't be a scandal and the only one, who would be sad would be my mother, because I have no friends and because I'm a girl I'm absolutely useless to my father. I returned home. Now there wasn't anything left to do than wait and go to the place I left the letter at every day, hoping I'd find a sheet of paper that's not covered with my writing.
...
With shaking hands, I carefully picked up the letter marked with the symbol I knew so well. Over my shoulder, I looked at my maids, who were waiting for me to continue walking. They never left me alone because my mother commanded them not to. At the moment they stopped intensely watching me I quickly grabbed the letter and hid it in my robe. I memorized the place I found the letter at and let the maids take me back to my mother.
When I was back home at my chamber, I pulled the strange letter out of my robe and opened it. I thanked God for my parents' strictness, I was so glad they were keen on my education. Every sentence, every word in that letter was suddenly so familiar to me, my heart raced like crazy when I read it for the millionth time. I have never met anyone who would share my beliefs. This was my chance.
Dearest sister Agnes,
how glad I am that our fates were united by our Lord! My heart yearns to get to know someone close to my soul and my Lord was so merciful and brought you into my life. I'm sure you're as beautiful as your name tells me. Tell me, sister Agnes, when did you know? Do your parents or your servants know as well? I will await your reply.
God bless you,
Irene
