reverse the clock

21 3 3

once upon a time

there were midnight walks along great cities

and kisses snuck in through a back window

once upon a time

there were dates at a museum

and moments stolen from a tight schedule

once upon a time

there was laughter heard at 3 am

and romantic notes written

once upon a time

there were two young souls,

hopelessly in love.

once upon a time

there were arguments

and objects thrown across the room

once upon a time

there were broken bones

and wounds to the heart

once upon a time

there were plates flung at foreheads

and tears streaming down faces

once upon a time

there was a love trying to be fixed.

but you can't fix something that began shattered.
