Long Way Home

Charlotte's POV

The first few weeks without the boys were hard. I dont hear constant laughter from Tris's bad jokes, from the living room anymore, and i havent felt brads warm hands on my waist in ages. Our room is pretty messy considering none of us have an excuse to tidy it up.

I havent done much, I basically hide away in my room either doing homework or practicing my guitar and singing, i have pretty much have no contact with the outside world.... except for food and the fact i stillhave to attend class.

I have barely talked to Connor, James or Tris because I dont have the time and I dont feel the need to. I do text Brad sometimes, but it wasnt the same. he wanted to skype but i always make up some stupid excuse to get me out of it, because if i saw his big brown eyes and his curles i would melt and burst out crying, then start telling him how much i miss him.But i know i cant keep avoiding this, i will have to skype him soon.

"Charlotte, its your turn to do the dishes" Lauren yells

i sigh, "Coming" i say, then i close my laptop and grab my phone to start playing Heartbreak Girl by 5 seconds of summer, and of course we all start singing along.

'You call me up it's like a broken record, saying that your heart hurts, that your'll never get over him getting over you'.

Elise is the only one who knows all the lyrics (fangirl alert) so she sings along fine but out of tune, meanwhile me, Lauren and luca are jut humming and dancing randomly along to the music.

'I dedicate this song to you! The one who never sees the truth, tht i can take away your hurt..... HEARTBREAK GIRL' we all shout in sync, as im placing the dishes back in the cuboard.

once Im finished i join the rest of the girls on the couch.

"So what are we doing today?" Luca asks, considering its only 9:30am.

"hmm... Maybe we should go to the beach" Lauren says "because its suppost to be really hot today" she

"Then when we get back, maybe we could Skype the boys!" Elise said smiling

"That's a great idea" Luca said

After about an hour of deep discussion we decided to go to the beach considering it was going to be a hot day.
I head into my room and pull out my tribal print bikini, denim shorts and a loose sheer tank top. I went and put my hair into a low pony tail the headed towards the living room to pack my bag.
Once I was finished I scrolled through twitter because I haven't been on in ages. I started to notice some tweets to do with Brad, and they made me worry.

@Vampette:
"Did anyone else fine at the concert that Brad seemed a little absent minded"

"I LOOOOVED THEIR CONCERT! but Brad did seem a little distracted"

I kept scrolling throught all these tweets, which made me think was I the reason Brad was hurting, did he miss me.... maybe I should look at getting a flight to America to see Brad.

"Hey Lottie" Elise says which practically made me jump out of my seat "are you ready" she adds

"Yeah...I'm ready, just waiting for Luca and Lauren now" I say putting on a fake smile, when really all I wanted to do was Skype or text Brad to see if he's okay... and to tell him that I love him...

We all get into the car with me driving, Luca in the passenger seat, then Elise and Lauren in the back seat. Lauren starts pumping out her music through my speakers, which we all instantly start singing to.

Once we are at the beach we find a nice place to lay our towels down. I decide to be anti social and read my book The Fault in our Stars, it's my favorite book and I'm reading it for the millionth time.
As I'm reading I get interrupted by a ball rolling by my feet, I put my book down and pick up the ball.
"Who's ball is that Carlotta?" Luca asks
"I don't know" I reply
Just as I stand up I see a boy running toward me, shirtless with spiked blonde hair.
"Hey" he says with a familiar Australian accent
"Hi?" I say confused
"Erm... I see you found my... our ball" he says pointing to his friends in the distance.
"Oh.. Right...sorry" I say handing him the ball
"Oh no it's fine... Do you want to join us?" He asks smiling
"Yeah, I'd love to" I say, as we start waking towards his friends
"I'm Luke" he says
"I'm Charlotte" I reply, smiling
He introduces me to his friends and we all play a good game of soccer, the teams are all even because his friend Ashton doesn't like FIFA.

By the end of the day the girls and Ashton have come to join us, it was a fun day it made me forget about all my problems. but as the sunsets we decide it's time to leave
"I'm sorry guys, but we have to head back to our campus" Lauren says
"Aw really" Calum says
"Yeah, I'm sorry I wish we could stay but we have class tomorrow" I say
"Well at least give us your numbers so we can do this again" Luke asks, turning to me, I nodded then gave them our numbers and said our final goodbyes.

Heyy,

Sorry I didn't update for a little bit, I was busy with me and my friends story.
Then I lost my book that I write everything in... but I found everything in the end and now it's all good!!

I know 5 seconds of summer make a little appearance and Luke takes a liking to Charlotte, it's pretty weird but cute... I mean I love 5 seconds of summer they're great guys!
