Before I start this, I want you to know that this is a rewrite of my previous story. If you are interested in reading the original, it is titled Hades Second Chance and is complete.
When I began the original, I was 15 and was deeply inspired by Rick Riordan's works, which is very apparent in my audience and in the writings. Although the story was original, it was clear where the inspiration originated. It's a short read and the first thing I ever completed. I have lots of grievances about it, but that's the reason I'm diving back into it.
I wanted to start by saying that it has been almost 3 years since I've read anything by Rick Riordan. As such, I'll be going into this story fresh with only a college class about general mythology as my backing. While I'm certain I may lose many readers for this, I'm perfectly fine with it; this is no fanfiction, and It would be hurtful to call it such as it's my own writing and my own characters, even if they were originally pieces of myth. So please, I beg you, when reading this please treat it as you would a novel.
One last point; as of now, this is a beta. I am publishing it in an attempt to get feedback and critique and there is no polishing here yet. As such, feel free to be harsh; but be specific. If you despise this story, tell me why so I can make it better.
Thank you, and enjoy.
