Meet Demi Lovato. A 25- year-old, single mother of 6-year-old Aubrey Elise Lovato. If you do the math, Demi had Aubrey while in college, and she didn't let that stop her from reaching her goals. After working her ass off, balancing school, work, and...
"That's definitely not a problem. I'll start by taking a look at the website, I'll need account credentials for twitter, Instagram, Facebook and any other social media."
"Okay slow down. We don't have a website, and what's a twitter?"
"You're kidding. No website? You don't know what twitter is?" Wilmer shakes his head no. "You know what Instagram is?"
"That would be a no."
"Okay, you've had to have heard about Facebook. Just about everyone in their 30s has a Facebook."
"How'd you know I was in my 30s?"
"Surely you didn't think I'd agree to working with you without doing some research. Which was odd, because I couldn't really find much. Not so much as even a picture. So I had to really do some digging."

"Yes, I've heard of Facebook. I just don't have one."
"So business is good with no type of marketing tools or strategies." She challenged.
"Word of mouth. See this is Miami. This city never sleeps. People want to party and eventually find themselves here."
"So I would assume most of your club goers are locals?"
"Mostly. I actually have a system that has the ID information from every single person that's been in the club during club hours."
"Really?"
"Yeah. We got dinged some time last year when an underaged girl used a fake to get in here, and ended up in the hospital after drinking too much. Next thing I know, I was on the verge of getting shut down. So I had to do something."
"Wow, I'm impressed. If I can get access to that, that'll help. Hopefully when we get you fully upgraded to the 21st century, you'll have people from everywhere lined up to get in the door."
"Good. I trust that everything will go smoothly with you running the show."
"It will. I pride myself in the work that I do and getting the job done." She boasts.

"Alright everyone listen up. I'll be very brief so that we can get right down to work." Jesse begins as he takes command of the criminal division. "Last week we got word that Diego Ruiz, head of the Ruiz cartel could possibly be state side to meet with his distributor here in Miami. And that word ended up being true. Son of a bitch got here last night. Federal prosecutors are ready to give this guy the needle. Only problem is, we need hard evidence or a confession to convict him, and he's too smart to give us both so, I want the distributor. He's the key to it all. Ruiz meets with his distributor a few times a year to check on things. There's not much that we really know about him. The guy is obviously smart and well organized. Prosecution has already agreed to cutting him a deal if he flips, so without him, there's no conviction. We've alerted authorities in Venezuela that once we get his distributor, Ruiz will be transported and tried here. So even if we don't get this prick now, we'll get him regardless. Due to the severity of this case, no one, and I mean no one outside this task force is allowed to know anything about it."
After assigning everyone their duties the meeting ends and Jesse heads back to his office. Life at work was about to get hectic and he knew finding balance was going to be hard, but Demi understood.
He agreed to pick up Aubrey from school today because he had an important question to ask her. Asking Demi to uproot their lives to move with him to Miami was a commitment, and he wanted to take a step further and make the life-time commitment to her and Aubrey. With the blessing already given from Demi's mom, he wanted to get a blessing from what Demi considered her entire world; Aubrey.
Around 2, he left the office so he'd wouldn't be late picking her up. He waits outside the car as all the kids start coming out of the school. His eyes scan the crowd of kids until he spots his. Aubrey sees him and let's her teacher know.
"I didn't know you were picking me up!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah well I thought I'd pick you up and take you to get some ice cream."
"YESSS!"

"Two scoops, m&m pieces, chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, sprinkles and whipped cream. You are going to have a tummy ache out of this world my child."
She giggles. "It's so good though. Here try it."
Holding back the necklace that holds his badge, he tries the spoon full ice cream.
"That is actually pretty good. Still going to give you a stomach ache."
"Maybe, but it's worth it." She says after eating another spoonful. "Do you have to wear that everywhere you go?" Tugging at his badge.
"No not everywhere. Usually I keep it on if I just got off of work like I just did. It also lets people know that if anything were to happen, they're safe."
"The kids in my class thought it was cool when I told them my daddy puts the bad guys in jail."
That was the first time he heard her refer to him as a father in her life and at that moment he knew asking for Demi's hand in marriage was the right thing to do.
"Really."
"Mhm."
"Can you keep a secret?"
"Yes."
"Pinky swear?"
"Pinky swear." They lock pinkies.
Pulls the box out of his pocket and opens it.
She gasps. "Is that for mommy?"
"It is. You know that I love your mommy very much. So much that I want to ask her to marry me, but before I do that, I want to see if that's okay with you."
"Hmmm. Let me think about it. Yeah, that's okay with me."
"Good. Making this commitment to your mommy also means I'm making a commitment to you. To always be there for you. No matter what."
