This is a story about two stars no one knew existed.
It started in a universe where there was pitch black all around except for the planets and stars. Two stars in particular traveled through this universe. They'd sparkle and glitter so much you'd think they were talking and laughing. Just having fun watching whole solar systems pass without a thought.
All the other stars envied them for they were so bright and beautiful. Planets were lit up by them and suns paled in comparison.
The two stars, as bright as they were, became tired. So they went to the edge of the universe. The space where no planets, suns, or otherwise went. These two stars were so bright they lit up the edge of the universe and you could see everything. You could see from one side to the other and everything in between.
Then one of the stars got so bright it would blind anything that dared look at it. It knew it had to hide its light. That one star wrapped around itself and its light till it got so big and so dark, it was no longer a star. The other star now getting just as bright did the same.
When these stars folded in on themselves to hide their light, they became something else. Something unknown. Instead of giving light, they swallowed it.
The two former stars swallowed the light they'd shown on the edge of the universe. When that light was gone they disappeared. Never to be seen again.
The universe was no longer lit up and everything went back to the way it was. The other planets and stars eventually forgot about the two stars for the edge of the universe became as dark and black as before.
No two stars were ever as bright as the two that swallowed their light.
