July couldn't help but take a breath of relief, as she left the store with her wages in her pocket. She had also been  working at the store during any free periods she had at school, and she was happy to have such a large amount of money, she would finally be able to treat herself.

She took her phone out and and looked at the time, she couldn't go to school yet, it was way too early, so she decided to go to the nearest breakfast diner. She separated some money from the stack she had in her pocket and walked in the door.

She paused, wondering what they were doing here? It was none other than Zion Kuwonu, and his friends obviously. She knew she had two options, it was either fight, or flight.

It was clearly fight, as she walked towards the register to order, she could see in the corner of her eye the way the boys peeked their heads up, following her movements, as if they were a bunch of meerkats. She froze as they all cut in front of her eyeing the money in her hands, and of course they snatched it from her, but she stood unbothered, as she took another note from her pocket and pushed past them. Before she even got to the register she was pulled back.

Zion stood in front of her and walked forwards, which forced her to walked backwards, meanwhile she looked around realising there was no-one else in the diner. Zion continued until she was out of the door.
"Give it to me."
The younger girl couldn't do anything but shake her head.
"Trust me, it will be easier if you just give me the money, I can't control what my friends do July." Zion couldn't help but sigh slightly as the girl shook her head again. He stood back as the four boys pushed her to the ground and pinned her down, she struggled so much that they had to pull her pants off her. They spat at her and held the pants up as if they were some kind of trophy.

Zion couldn't help glancing down at the half naked girl on the floor, she was sobbing hysterically, and he could hear her blubbering about bills, and how she won't get paid till next month. He unbuttoned his oversized shirt that he had paired with his top and jeans, he paused for a second and took off his belt.
"Are you gonna?" The blonde haired boy asked as all of them grinned at Zion, clearly thinking he was about to rape a girl in broad daylight. He rolled his eyes at them, and covered the girl with his shirt, and placed his belt beside her, he thought she would be able to make an outfit from it.

"Guys I thi-"
"Hey, you leave her alone! I'm calling the cops!" The woman that served them burst out of the door, she must've finished their order and noticed the commotion outside.
"Don't please! I'll fix it! (He knelt down towards July) I'll get it back."
Then he ran, following the rest of his friends.

July took some time before she could even move from her position, but with some encouragement from the lovely
Girl at the Diner, she stood herself up and walked back into the restaurant.

Fifteen minutes later the brown eyed girl found herself apologising, she felt so embarrassed.
"I was going to buy something, I just got paid, but they took my wages."
"It's ok, like I said I wasted my time cooking five different orders, so why wouldn't I give that food to someone who deserves it. I put some in a box, so you can take some with you. I made sure it won't spill or anything....are you sure you don't want the police."
"I'm sure."
"How old are you again?"
"17."
"So...why don't you swap out the newspaper delivery for here, because I was just calculating in my head... I love
math clearly, but if you do some shifts at the store and work here early mornings, you will earn more, and I can already tell we would get along."
"I can't believe your offering me a job after I caused-"
"No no no no, that wasn't  your fault, but here's my number, so you can call me when you decide, the jobs yours if you want it."
"Thank you...what was it?"
"Oh it's august, don't ask why my Hispanic parents decided to basically gave me a boy name but."
"No way!" July couldn't help but giggle, as august looked at her in a weird way.
"My name's July!" July almost screamed
"Wow...that's destiny." The older girl smiled at July before glancing up at the clock.
"July! Get to school. Oh my god!" She  panicked as she helped July put her bag on. The younger girl couldn't help but giggle slightly as she gave her new friend a hug, and waved bye as she practically ran out the door.

"You've got this July." The girl told herself, as she made her way to school.

They couldn't scare her away that easily...
