Sal and Larry had split up after entering the apartment building. Larry heading down the small staircase to his apartment in the basement, and Sal up to his aunts apartment on the 4th floor.

"Ok, Aunt Jess said that their apartment is 402, got that Giz?" Sal asked Gizmo as they rode the elevator up to the 4th floor. As they got to their floor, the doors opened and right in front of the doors was a woman wearing coveralls. "Oh my, hello dear are you Sal? My name is Lisa. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Jess and Becca have been telling me all about their nephew. You know I have a son about your age, his name is Larry." Lisa says while smiling at Sal. Sal fidgets for a bit before smiling back "Oh is your Larry really tall and has long hair? Because I think i met him outside. He accidentally ran into me getting into the building" Sal shrugs. Lisa chuckles "That sounds like my Larry. Did he at least apologize for running into you sweetie?" Lisa asks. Sal nods "He offered to walk with me to school so I know the way there and back. Well i need to go to my Aunt's apartment Miss Lisa it was nice meeting you and Larry" Sal excused himself so he could go lay down. His prosthetic was making his face itch, which happens if he has been wearing it for while and hasn't been able to take it off so his scars can breathe. *A/N I have no medical knowledge so idk if this is accurate or not but fudge it is for this*

As Sal and Gizmo go about finding the apartment. Sal feels like something is watching him. It doesn't feel like it's going to hurt him, not like Billy and his friends at the boarding house those bullies use to try and take his prosthetic all the time until Mother Alice caught them one day and made each of the boys do Hail Mary's until supper that night. So Sal isnt to worried about it.

After finding the apartment and going in, Sal sets Gizmo down and finds the food and water dish his Aunts have set up for Gizmo. After making sure Gizmo has food, Sal goes about looking for his room, he opens the first door and immediately slams it shut while blushing bright pink under his mask. There are just something's a boy doesn't need to know about his favorite Aunt's personal lives. *a/n I'll let your imagination fill in what Sal might have seen ;)*

Sal tries the second door with much more success, because this room looks just like his old room in Trenton, NJ. His SF posters are on the wall, along with all his mix tapes and cd's. Even the bed spread looks like his old one. It doesn't register until he goes to get pajamas that he realizes that all this stuff is his from NJ. His aunts had been slowly bringing his things from NJ, here to Nockfell since he had been in the hospital. They weren't able to bring much back each time, hence why his Aunt Becca was still cleaning out the old house.

When Sal found one of his fathers old hair band tshirts in his pajama drawer Sal clutched it to himself and rushed to tear his clothes off down to his boxers so he could wear his father's shirt. It still smelled like his dad's aftershave. After getting the shirt on Sal climbed into bed and settled down under the blankets. He took off his prosthetic and took out his fake eye and put the eye in its cleaning solution, he also sprayed and wiped the prosthetic to clean it. He'd give it a deep clean this weekend when the rest of his stuff arrived with his Aunt Becca.

As Sal fell asleep his room was invaded by a swirling black mist, upon which a beautiful young woman steps forth and looks down at Sal smiling sadly "I'm so sorry young one, but this must be the way of things until someone is able to break the spell binding me to do this. For all my love is all seeing they didn't see this outcome when they placed this wretched curse upon this town. They brought about my own suffering for while those louts had attempted to take my life I had hung on until my love showed themselves. And because of the sadness rage in they're heart they bound my soul to that of their curse forcing me to change every person in this town into a monster" the young woman smiled softly at Sal "I knew your mother well young one, she was never afraid of me or the power I now possess. But unfortunately I can not make you in the image of your mother. So instead I will make you into your own image and give you the knowledge you need to survive this strange new place, you've found yourself. I name you Sal, son of Joan and Henry, Daywalker. I give unto you the knowledge of what being a Daywalker is. May you use this curse as a gift and may you one day be able to break this curse that holds this town in its grips." The young woman disappeared into the black mist just as Aunt Jess burst into Sal's room. Jess ran over to Sal and looked at the mist, "Please, can you tell me what you made him? Please so we know what needs to be done to protect him?" Jess pleaded with the mist. A voice called out from the mist "He is the first of his kind, he is a Daywalker. He has the knowledge needed to see to his own safety. You just need to make sure he remembers to eat enough for his new body." Aunt Jess collapsed to the ground, 'A new species, that hasn't happened since the start of this curse', she thought to herself. Jess got up and went back into her and Becca's room, where upon she started to look up Daywalkers from within the large tome that had been in the family since the curse started. The tome would "update" itself automatically if a new species had be created by the curse. *Jess and Joan's family were charged with keeping track of what everyone in the town had become in the beginning of the curse, now though they just use it to keep track of when a species dies out*

~~TIMESKIP~~

The next morning Sal woke up feeling extremely hungry. And like his brain was going into overdrive, seeing as when the young woman made him a Daywalker, she gave him the tools he need to handle it and understand what he is. 'Ugh, why didn't Mom or Aunt Jess ever mention this whenever I'd ask about Nockfell' Sal mentally muttered to himself while sighing audibly.

After getting dressed for the day, Sal left his room and found his Aunt Jess in the kitchen cooking breakfast. "Hi Aunt Jess" Sal said smiling as he walked into the kitchen. "Hey bu-OH MY GOD!" Jess yelled because when Sal became a Daywalker it fixed most of his scarring and also replaced his eye that had been lost. Sal jumped and looked startled "Aunt Jess what's wrong?" Sal asked softly. "Honey-bunch go to the bathroom and look in the mirror" Aunt Jess told Sal.

Sal looked at his aunt like she was crazy, but did as she asked. Upon turning the light on in the bathroom he staggered because looking back at him was the thrashed face that he had been getting use to weeks before instead he almost looks like he did before the accident and not only that but he has both eyes again.

*A/N I had planned on getting Travis's back story done in this chapter but Sal didn't want to stop giving me ideas to write for him. So here enjoy this and depending on if I can get Travis to cooperate he might get his back story told in chapter 3. Or I might do a POV chapter with Sal or Larry. Depends on what my muse decides to smack me with. Also incase it wasn't clear the "young woman in the black mist" was the Red-Eye Demon's(cough dragon cough) love interest. Her soul got bound to the curse as a way for the demon to keep her alive while they search for a suitable vessel for her. She of course doesn't want that and so gave Sal the means of figuring out how to brake the curse. And I have no set update schedule for this story, it's a "I'll update when I get the urge to" not a "oh man i need to post a new chapter every week". I'm sorry but I wont force myself to update constantly because then I'd lose the motivation to continue writing this*
