SUMMARY:
In France 1558, Klaus and the rest of the original family slaughtered an entire family of nobles. Rebekah, who was tired of running from Mikael, suggested taking their places. So they arrive at French Court, where Klaus meets Mary and they instantly fall in love. The problem is, Mary is married to Francis, the king of France.
Centuries later, Mary, who became a vampire, arrives in New Orleans, where she meets Klaus again. He is still resentful, but it's clear that his love for her never died.
