Walking home from the store at night always made you feel uncomfortable. Your uncle has made you get him beer and alcohol ever since you turned thirteen. The first time you put the alcohol on the counter, the cashier looked at you like you were crazy. Now, the cashier knows who the alcohol is for. You often tell the cashier stories, and tell him the arguments your uncle has with you. The cashier has become an older brother figure to you. He's three years older than you, and even got you a card for your seventeenth birthday. His smile always seemed to lift your spirits. "Thanks Connor". You mumbled and smiled at him as he bagged the beer for your uncle. "It's no problem (Y/N)" He gave you a soft smile. "Stay safe tonight." He spoke with slight worry in his tone. You nodded and left the store remembering the news from this morning. There was a murder at the house down the street from you. No survivors. You pulled your (F/C) jacket closer around your chest and started walking home. You looked up at the sky as the clouds covered the stars. You turned down a road and was met with an alleyway. "I'm seriously not lost right?" You mumbled to yourself nervously. As you turned around you were faced with the biggest high school bully. "Hey there (Y/N)" He smirked with an evil look in his eyes. His brown hair curled over his forehead. "What do you want Tyler?" You spoke trying to sound unafraid. Tyler chuckled again "I want you." He snapped his fingers as two of his friends came out of the shadows behind you and pinned you to a nearby brick wall. You squirmed and tried to get away as Tyler laughed. "Oh come on (Y/N)" he walked towards you. "This will be fun". He grabbed you and pulled your jacket off throwing it carelessly to the ground. You kicked him in the crotch as he yelped drawing back. "You bitch!" Tyler yelled at you and punched you in the stomach. You screamed as Tyler got his hands on you again ripping at your shirt. Suddenly, a figure threw Tyler across the alley slamming him against a wall falling down limp. Tyler's friends stared at you as one punched you in the face knocking you to the ground. Just as you were about to get up, one of the boys slammed a nearby glass bottle against your head. You felt the warmth of blood running down your face. As your vision blurred, a boy you've never seen before stepped over you, blocking you from the attackers. He wore a white hoodie and slim black jeans with converses. Then everything went black.
The next day...
When your eyes fluttered open, you were greeted with a familiar ceiling. You were in your room. Your (e/c) eyes roamed around the room as your vision came to focus. You groaned slightly as a sharp pain went to your head.
"Don't sit up yet (Y/N)" a deep raspy voice spoke suddenly as a figure rose from the corner of your room. You looked over at the person and recognized the hoodie. It was the boy who saved you in the alleyway. He walked up to the bed and gently placed an ice pack against your head. You examined his face. His messy black hair fell to his shoulders, and his blue-grey eyes were focused on your wound. He looked like any ordinary teenage boy. But some thing was different. And that was the scars on his cheeks forming a smile.
