Jennie POV
I sat along the shoreline of the beach under the night sky thinking to myself. "Is what we are doing for a good cause?"
Hurting others for the benefit of ourselves and our families.
It all started with complaints, then with nonviolent protests, then violent protests, and eventually we were murdering innocent lives.
Was it too late to run away from this life? Would I be able to redeem myself? But then again, who would even be able to accept me for who I am?
My thoughts were suddenly cut off when a voice called for me.
"Jennie, the boat will arrive soon. Get ready." Hanbin said.
Me and Hanbin go way back. He was my best friend growing up and my partner in crime. But now, I can't see him the same way as I did years ago.
"Ok." I got up and started to collect my items to get ready for the task we were sent out to do: steal money off of a millionaire's yacht. I had on black jeans, a black tank top, and a black scarf that wrapped around my face to hide my identity.
Hanbin was dressed in a similar attire, but he had black long sleeve on and had on a black masquerade mask instead of a scarf.
We both had our katanas; mine was strapped on my back while his was tied to his belt. My silenced pistol was strapped to my waist while Hanbin had a shotgun over his shoulder.
It was time to head out.
We snuck around the docks and found a small speed boat off to the side with a fisherman minding his own business. I quickly held him in a choke hold while covering his mouth so we wouldn't draw any attention. He passed out in a few seconds and I dragged him off the boat behind a shed.
Hanbin drove the boat out following the yacht. Until we knew we were far away enough from the shore, we parked the boat next to it.
Hanbin hopped off and held his hand out for me to grab it. I ignored it knowing I can do stuff myself without the help of anyone. I usually flied solo, but Hanbin always followed me around to the point I had the accept him as my partner for missions like these. It's not that I don't like him; It's just that his methods of getting things done are very different from me.
Guards surrounded the perimeter of the yacht along with crew members and the maids of the owner.
To make our job easier, I went down into the basement and pulled out all the cords from the fuse box to cut off all the lights. Luckily, there wasn't any panic on board just confusion.
That was when Hanbin and I were ready.
All the guards had their firearms already drawn and pointing blindly into the dark.
Then out of nowhere, Hanbin hits one of them with the back of his sword causing him to fall down. He didn't catch the guard fast enough which resulted with a loud thud on the floor, alerting the others. Then an alarm was pulled, the emergency lights turned on, and sirens started to blare.
Fucking perfect. So much for stealth.
Guards from all directions started for us. That's when my adrenaline started to kick in.
I back flipped over a guard, grabbing his arm in the process and popping his shoulder out of his socket. While he was on the floor in agony, I whipped out my pistol and started to shoot the others in their kneecaps disabling them.
Hanbin sprinted past me and heading toward the enemies. He swung his blade left and right, aiming for the vitals and killing them right on the spot.
