40 - The Darklands

Blake was running down the trail of the Darklands with the stains of the goblins remains and some scratches from the remains of the gummgumms. It felt like she was on a killing spree and she was smiling and then she began to giggle.

"Oh man, if I only I got to stay here to kill all of you guys~!" Blake giggled with an eerie voice, "I just want to have fun~!" she looked over a corner and found a group of gummgumms.

They gasped as they saw Blake, "Oh! It isn't more volunteers~!" Blake threw her sword at one of them, "I need you for target practice!" Blake says with an angered voice but her expression was happy.

With a few swings from here and there, she took out the blood-goblins and the gummgumms, except for one.

Blake looks at them with a blank expression with a wide smile, "well, well, well, we got a fighter~" she sings. Blake charges toward them and kicked them onto the floor. Blake raises her sword up while holding it by the handle and blade dangling down towards them on their chest, "we can look for another way around!" Blake stopped and looked up to hear Jim's voice and another voice with him.

'Jim...' Blake's eyes became clear. Her entire eyeball was black but not her pupil. The colour of her pupil was purple. But it slowly started to fade away when she can hear Claire and Jim screaming. Even though it wasn't pleasant, she still regained her conscious from being taken over by the darkness within her.

"Jim..." She calls out to him quietly, "Jim," she called out a little louder. Blake looked down and saw the gummgumm, whimpering in fear. But she finished him off, "I had fun... but that wasn't me, the darkness is consuming me," Blake looked her armoured hand. She may not see her hand but she can feel what was happening inside of her.

Blake started jumped and began to climb a large rock wall using her small daggers as climbing material. She pierced them into the wall, she used her arm strength to throw herself up and pierce the wall.

With a few more pushes she was able to get to the top. Blake rolls on the solid rock ground and panted. Her arms were sore and were breathing heavily. She had the strength to get up and look around her surroundings to find the Jim and Nomura climbing, but Nomura wasn't climbing, she was hanging onto Jim. Blake noticed them and she wanted to climb up the wall and take down Nomura but she noticed something off. Nomura wasn't doing anything to attack him. Blake was going to climb but her arms couldn't throw herself up anymore. Instead, she was introduced with Gummgumms surrounding the north and south side.

Blake groaned. The purple flame on her eye began to glow brightly, "I am getting really tired of you gummgumms," she growls as she grabbed her sword.

"It's Blake!" Toby cried.

"I'll hold them with the Midnight Trollhunter. Go!" Nomura lets go of Jim's hand and fell down near Blake. Blake gasps and saw her.

"Nomura, what are you doing? Jim was helping you," Blake questioned.

"Shut up and let's dance," Nomura faces toward the gummgumm on the south side and Blake nodded as she faced the north side. They were both fighting off the Gummgumms that kept coming at them until they heard something coming toward them with the Gyre.

"Nomura!/Blake!" Jim and Claire exclaimed in unison. They reach their hands out. Blake jumped out of the way slightly and caught Claire's hand as they were riding by in the Gyre. Blake gets in and chuckles slightly.

"The Bridge! It's closing!" Toby exclaimed.

"Go, go!" Jim shouts. Draal makes the Gyre goes faster until a large monster in front of them snarled loudly.

"A Nyarlagroth!" Blinky exclaims in fear.

"Don't stop!" Jim says. Draal makes it go even faster. Jim told him to keep going and he did. Draal made the Gyre enter inside of the Nyarlagroth and ripped the monsters insides apart as they passed them.

They all made it out of the Darklands and destroyed the bridge with the Gyre. They all stepped out of the Gyre and breathed in except for Blinky and Toby, they were hugging each other while shivering in fear. Blinky wished to never see the likes of the Killahead Bridge. Arrrgh in the background punched the bridge and it fell apart.

"Awesome sauce!" Toby exclaims in glee. Jim ran toward Arrrgh and everyone else joined in. They were so happy to see him again.

Except for Blake, she stood there with a limp and a small smile. She groans and sits down while leaning on a large boulder.

In the distance, Spenser was there peeking into the forest to find a bunch of people gathered around. He saw the changeling, trolls, and another person in the same armour as Blake's armour. But when he saw Blake leaning on the rock he immediately ran beside her.

"Blake! You okay?" Spenser questioned as he grabbed her face and moved in all directions to see if there were any scratches.

"I'm fine, just another normal everyday thing," Blake says with a hint of sarcasm.

"This ain't normal! But I am glad that you're okay!" Spenser started to plant kisses all over her face while Jim and the others were watching.

"Blake," Jim called out, Spenser stopped smothering his lips all over Blake's face and looked at them and so did Blake, "who is this? Did you tell him our secret?"

"Uhm, this is Spenser and yes, I did - well, I didn't tell him, I showed him by accident on one of our dates," Blake says with a small smile.

Jim smiles, "welcome to the Trollhunters team,"

"I believe this belongs to you," Blinky cuts in with his amulet. Jim takes it and summons back his normal armour. Jim sighs as he felt nostalgic about his armour. Jim walks over to another large boulder and lets the sun hit against his skin after being trapped in the Darklands for 2 weeks.

Everyone watched Jim and Claire hug him suddenly. Claire was just so happy to see him again. Jim caressed her cheek and brought Claire into a kiss. Blake and Spenser looked in awe while everyone else was giving them their privacy.

"Ha! Just wait till Trollmarket gets a load of Jim and Arrrgh!" Toby laughs until he remembered about what they had been through in Trollmarket to get the Bridge and Jim, "Oh no, the Tribunal! They are gonna go crazy banana-pants when they what they've been up to!" Toby cries.

"It doesn't matter what the Tribunal thinks. All that matters that we got out Trollhunter back," Blinky reassures them.

Everyone decided to go home. Spenser helped Blake up as she made her armour disappear, halfway to Blake's place she suddenly coughs - it wasn't just coughing - she was dry coughing. Spenser placed his hand on her back and Blake placed her hand over her mouth.

When she removed her hand away from her mouth, there was blood on her hand. Just a few drops, but a few drops of blood made Blake feel panicked.

"25 days left," Blake whispered loudly.

She looked at Spenser and saw horror in his eyes. Blake felt the same.
