A big thank you to inkysmolbean for the art!

Jacqueline yawned as she sat up in bed. "Oh man that was a lovely sleep," she said, stretching her arms. "I wonder what my friends are doing today?" She thought aloud. As if on cue, her phone buzzed. Somebody had texted her. Jackie picked up her phone, and checked her notifications. It was her closest friend, Alex. The text read, 'Hey girl! I'm having a New Years Eve party tonight, and I thought you should come! We're going to be partying into the new year. Text me back if you're coming!'
Jacqueline grinned. "Huh. Well, it looks like I know what I'm gonna be doing today."

They partied all night. Drinks, games, tons of friends. They even brought out an inflatable pool. The party got crazier as the night went on, and by 2:00AM everyone was just about ready to head home. Jackie, the designated driver that evening, started ushering everyone into her car. Alex gave Jackie one final goodbye hug, before waving her off as Jackie began driving everyone home. Jackie drove all over the city, delivering everybody to their respective homes. By 3:00AM, Jackie had finally dropped off the last person, and was ready to head back herself. The highway was deserted, let alone Jackie. As she continued driving, it became apparent the lights over the highway began to flicker. Jackie kept on driving, however, intent on making it home. She was about to make the turnoff onto her street, when the lights overhead burst, sprinkling small bits of glass on top of Jacqueline's car and across the road in front of her. In a panic, she swerved into the side of the road, dodging the glass and nearly hitting a tree. Jackie hit the brakes, only just saving herself. She sighed out of relief. "That was close... Thank God I didn't crash." Jackie said, before pulling off of the grass, and driving up her driveway.

Jackie set down her phone and keys, and lied down on her bed, completely ignoring the sheets. "What a night it's been. Thank god I can finally get some rest." Jackie sighed, closing her eyes and smiling contently. Jacqueline drifted off into psychedelic dreams.

Worlds collided into one another. People, and places becoming one. Everything shifted around, creating a landscape unlike anything Jackie had seen before. The room folded in on itself, pulling her in with it. A void. It was filled with memories of past experiences, memories of new experiences, and many other dream sequences. An art gallery. Memories on display like paintings. A young man about Jacqueline's age was inspecting the paintings, recalling something. Jackie, the curator, walked over to the man. The room vanished. A galaxy filled with stars. Planets, meteors, and other celestial bodies flew by Jacqueline, as everything came closer to one point. Earth. Another Earth smashed into it, creating an awe inspiring display of destruction. The two Earths became one. And the universe, became much more different.

Jacqueline's alarm blared at her. "Ugh, I feel like I just went to sleep!" She half yelled, half moaned at her alarm, slapping the snooze button as she did so. The alarm went off again, this time on the other side of the room.
"Are you kidding me? I just fell asleep how is it already the morning??" The man from the dream half yelled, half moaned at his alarm, slapping the snooze button as he did so.
"Who the hell are you, and what are you doing in my room?!" Jacqueline pulled her sheets off and stood up. The man did the same.

One Week Later

"Due to a malfunction with the Hadron Collider in Europe last week, many dimensional rifts have begun opening up all over the planet. From small things like duplicate lamp posts on the same corner, to buildings being split, the event has begun to force people to move away from the danger zones. So far there have been no casualties. But with signs of stopping not showing, who knows how severe things may become."

Jacqueline took a sip of her coffee, her eyes glued to the cafe's television screen. "You know we may be stuck with each other forever, right" Jackson, the man who appeared in Jackie's room was sitting at the other side of the table, with his chai latte.
"Yeah. This has all been so weird, meeting myself from another world." Jackie said, turning her head towards Jackson. She grabbed her chocolate chip muffin, and took a bite.
"It's been weird for me too. I mean, it's really weird that you have a female Donald Trump."
"You mean Donna Trump?" Jackie spoke, setting down the muffin.
"Yeah. I don't think I'll ever get used to this world." Jackson looked at the television screen. An ad for dog food played on the screens.
"Well, based on the news, you're gonna have to get used to living here." Jacqueline says, smiling at the thought of living with a guy. Jackson smiled as well.
"Yeah. Looks like I will."
