Skip to Wednesday evening/night - Naomi & etc , didn't have practice today so after school they went out to eat with the crew before church .
Ace : Every since the other night me and Naomi haven't talked at all . I mean like the kiss , it was ... idk . But I felt something . It was something I haven't felt in a while . She was just my friend . A really good friend . At the time when we kissed I had really forgot she had a boyfriend but it's done and over with now . Tonight is going to be my first time speaking to her since the other night .
The crew and a few of Ace's friends all went to BWW . Once they sat down and everyone talked amongst themselves . Ace was talking to his boys and would take glances at Naomi . She was kind of talking to Amarie & Janelle but was zoned out . She noticed Ace looking at her and they made eye contact , she quickly looked away . Brandon had texted and said he couldn't make it tonight so he'll catch them another time .
Amarie : Aye
( everyone at the table turns their attention to her )
Amarie : Who all going to the game Friday ?
ALL THE BOYS : Yeahh & [ they start talking amongst themselves ]
Amarie : Naomi are you okay
N : Yeahh I'm fine
Ace : Aye Naomi come here
( she hesitated but went to where he was was sitting )
N : what
Ace : it's like that now
N : nothing -
Ace : come on , cause I know somebody over here is listening
( the two walk outside and talk )
Ace : so what happened the other night didn't mean anything to you
N : it did -
( janelle comes out there to tell them the food is at the table now . They ended their conversation and went in to eat . )
Janelle : Naomi is my bestfriend and all but I don't want her to be around Ace . His parents may not know but he was selling weed at one time and Naomi can't get caught up in a mess like that .
After they left the restaurant Naomi dropped Janelle & Amarie off at their houses . Ace called her to come by his house cause he needed to talk to her . She drove over there and just sat in the car waiting for him to come outside . Once he came outside , he got in the car . They don't say anything for a moment until Naomi breaks the silence .
N : I think I want to break up with Justin
A : why
N : he umm - ... cheated on me
A : why didn't you tell me
N : I didn't tell anyone . Cause I was embarrassed
A : what she look like
N : I don't know but I told him to tell her to come to the game .
A : oh , when did it happen
N : he said when he was out of town
A : ( says nothing just sits there )
N : and he claimed it was a accident
A : ( notices the ring still on her finger ) why didn't you give the ring back ?
N : I -
A : give him all his shit back . Anything he ever bought you give it back or burn it
N : I'm not burning it
A : I'll do it for you
N : no you're not
A : you still love him
N : maybe
A : ( shakes his head )
N : what
A : Man , I've only known you for a few weeks but that kiss meant something .
N : it didn't
A : it did
N : Ace no it didn't
A : Yes it did
N : Ace it didn't
A : Ight , you right it didn't mean anything.( looks at her , then gets out and goes inside )
Naomi : It really meant a lot I just don't want him to think too much . Because I still love Justin & i want to work things out with him .
• later that night •
Ace : Naomi texted me about a hour ago . I read it but didn't respond . I don't want to hear anything she has to say . My mom came and asked where did I go , but I told her I went outside to see a friend . She always thinks I go for sex or weed but really the girls I fw or whatever just give me head and a nut . My parents know I have sex and stuff . But as long as I'm not getting anyone pregnant I'm good .
The night for the two of them was crazy . Ace didn't care though , he felt as his he didn't do anything to her . He just agreed with her . Ace told himself he wasn't going to chase her unless he started feeling her again . The only thing he did to get pain or stress off his mind was smoke . He rolled a blunt and smoked all his pain away . He didn't have a choice because the only person he could talk to , he was mad at . Well , he didn't want to talk to her at the moment . But he was going to see her at school and stuff so they were going to talk sooner or later . Those two days of exams and stuff went by fast and came Friday . The basketball game . Little did everybody else know Ace has something planned .
