So this is the first thing I've written. It may be horribly terrible but give me suggestions or comments or whatever! Thanks for being one of my few readers!
(Sorry this first section is so short)

Observation 1: Some people are unpleasant to be around, its unfortunate when these unpleasant people are pretty.
"Gaaaahhh" a boy standing by my locker groans.
I ignore him and grab my things for class.
He groans again and runs his hand through his hair - his short hair. I resist the urge to curse at him and tell him to shut up, while at the same time I try to avoid staring at him. His face is without flaw, no acne, amazing hazel eyes, and a jawline that could cut glass.
"Can I help you?" I ask as I turn to him and shut my locker.
He rolls his eyes "Do you know where Dan is?" he asks with a tone that makes it seem like he knows I don't know.
"Who?" I ask.
He sighs. "Never mind" he turns and walks away. I'm almost sure I hear him mutter something along the lines of "idiot" a he goes.
Unpleasantness at it's finest.
"Whatever" I say to myself as I make my way to calculus, I pick up Carly at her locker.
"Hey girl!" she tosses an arm around my shoulder and gives a flirtatious wave goodbye to boy she was talking to.
"Who's the hottie?" I ask, looking over my shoulder to the guy staring after Carlz.
"Oh no one. Maybe Jake? We'll go with Jake. Anyway, I have a proposition for you. So, it is the beginning of a new party season, the beginning of junior year, and there is a party tonight and I want you to go with me."
"No. I've told you a million times, I don't do parties." I explain to her again.
"Hold your horses! I haven't even gotten to the best part! My deal is that if you come to this party with me and after you still say you don't like parties then I will never ask you to come to another one with me ever again."
"Hmmm.... " I think about it. Having Carly off my back is worth a couple hours of social interaction. "OK. Deal." I turn and shake her hand.
She squeals and hugs me "Mattie, you will not regret this!". Why do I have the feeling that's not true?
