Takehiko POV

The sound of my heart monitor and ventilator made was in rhythm. The rooms lights streamed a blindness pain towards my barely opened eyes. How did I get here? Surely whoever brung me here would had dumped my body in a river or leave my corpse in the woods for the wolves. I heard footsteps echoing the hallways closer and closer towards my room unroll my door was kicked open.

"Takehiko!" My mother ran towards my side.

"Takehiko! What happened to you? Who did this to you?" She asked. She didnt know I couldn't talk at the moment, but when I saw her worried face tears began to roll down my eyes.

"Mommy? Is he going to be okay? Why he has that thing in his nose?" My sister asked her.

Before my mother could answer her, the doctor came in. She had a very sincere, warm smile that would brighten anyone bad mood.

"Well hello Mrs. Himura! So glad you can come in such short time! I am Takehiko doctor, Mrs. Midori!" she said shaking my mother's hand.

"Nice to meet you. Will my son be okay?" My mother said.

"Takehiko will be absolutely fine. His X-Rays showed he has a bruised lung, and a couple of bruised bones located on his ribs, right femur, and both of his arms. We fixed his broken nose, but he still has a breathing tube due to his difficulty breathing. He can see and hear everything we are saying." Doctor Midori said.

"W-When will he be able to come home? He has a part time job and exams are now less than a month." My mother said.

"No less than a week. If he seems to be recovering at a faster rate then he will be released earlier than expected. But due to his injuries, he will need light to moderate rehabilitation to build strength in his arms and legs as they are healing." Doctor Midori said.

"Hey, Takehiko? Do you think you can talk if I were to take your tube out?" My doctor asked.

I nodded in response. I really wanted out of her, so I want to at least prove to them I am getting better quicker. She slowly pulled the tube out of my nose which felt very uncomfortable.

"So? How's it looking?" Dr. Midori asked. When I began to inhale, I started to cough pretty violently.

"I-It's g-good so f-far." I coughed between words.

"Bubba!" Rin yelled hugging me.

"Careful Rin. He needs rest. Your a resilient child, Takehiko." My mother ruffled my hair.

"I-I learn it f-from y-you." I said weakly.

"We will be taking our leave now. Goodnight Takehiko. We will be back tomorrow." My mother said grabbing Rin hand.

"Bye Bubba!" Rin smiled.

"You have a really great family. They really care for you. I don't understand why would anyone do this to you. Nobody should be treated with such disrespect!" She said.

"D-Do you know who t-transported me h-here?" I asked.

"Afraid not. I have 5 more patients I have to see before I am officially off shift. It looks like your all set for tonight! If you need anything, just press the call button. See you tomorrow Takehiko!" She said exiting the room.

I wonder what my bullies did without me at school. I know when I ever return it'll be a vicious cycle all over again. I sighed and closed my eyes. Seconds later, my door was kicked open making me spring up from bed.

"A-Ah, sorry! I forgot to give this to you! Your rescuer sent you a letter! Now I will be gone until tomorrow! Goodnight again!" Dr. Midori said.

Why would they send me a letter? Who were they? I personally want to meet them and thank them for their heroic bravery. If anyone saw them helping me, they would had became the second most hated person ever. I looked over it and it didn't have no name, but a heart sticker was sealing it from being open. Interesting. I opened it without hesitation, and saw what it read.

Dear Takehiko,

You definitely don't know me, but I really want to you to feel such glee. I been watching this progress worse and worse every time, those savage barbarians ain't worth a damn dime. Please accept this letter as a potential friend interest, as I am afraid this will become more and more of a tremendous issue. I hope you get healthy so I can see you in person.

Sincerely,

Blake Johnson.
