"What would you like Sir?" the bartender inquired.

"Uh... Your cheapest beer available please" I replied giving him a quick glance before continuing to rummage through the pockets of my black leather bag that I carried to the publishers office. It basically had all my unpublished manuscripts that I had been working on and planned on publishing someday.

The waiter raised an eyebrow, shooting his best 'judgy' face at me, which I chose to ignore.

A while later, a slight clink of the glass on the counter indicated that the waiter had got my beer.

"Anything else sir?" he asked.

"I'll let you know" I mumbled before taking a big sip from the glass. The contents immediately burning my throat all the way to my stomach.

Sighing, I placed the glass back on the counter. It was quater to 12 at that moment and the crowd in the club was getting thinner as the clock trickled.

I took a brief moment to look around the place, there was a few people in a bunch dancing on a raised platform, and some other people chattering as they left the place.

A certain girl resting with her head down on the counter caught my attention. From what I could see, she was wearing a yellow mustard coloured top with a pair of distressed blue jeans. Her brown hair with streaks of golden highlights were tied up in a messy ponytail and she had her back turned towards me.

Well, seems like I wasn't the only one who was having a rough day after all.

I smirked to myself, gulping down the rest of my beer, before ordering one more.

And then one more.

And one more.

I was about to order another one before I heard a very woozy voice say "Rough day, huh?"

I turned around to see the same girl in yellow top looking at me. Her already messy hair had gotten more messier by then, causing a few strands of her hair to fall on her shoulders. She looked terrible, almost like she had just got up from bed. But, she still looked pretty in some weird way. She was so darn fair and the tip of her nose and cheeks had become red, probably because of the chilling weather, which made her look cuter.

"Done checkin' me out?" she said smirking.

"Yeah? No. Erm. I was just thinking about something else. Sorry." I shrugged, embarrassed. "So you were saying? I asked.

"Had a rough day, did you?" she asked again laughing slightly.

"Yeah. Kind of", "You too?" I queried.

She sighed in return. "I'm just tired of everything I guess" she said after sometime, taking a sip from her glass.

"I get it", "Trust me I do" I replied, shaking my head.

"Well, drinks on me then" she cheered, after a long pause.

Wow, she could really go from being all sad and depressed to being cheerful so easily.

"No it's-it's okay. I'm done" I stuttered, clearly a little tipsy.

"Come onnnnnnn. Don't be a spoilt sport" she whined.

I contemplated on whether it was a good idea to drink more or not, but hey! I had a rough day. I deserved some relaxation at least.

"Okay! Okay! Bring 'em" I said grinning. She too flashed a bright grin at me before ordering drinks for the both of us.

By the time we stopped drinking we had lost count on how many glasses of tequila shots we had consumed. And dude, we were stinking drunk no kidding.

"I never gotyourname" I tried to talk.

She started laughing hysterically and fell off from the chair she was seated in.

"Shit. Shit. Shit" I mumbled before stumbling down from my own chair and tried to help her up.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Better than ever!" She yelled, throwing her hands up in the air, still laughing. Oh, did I tell you that by that time, the bar was completely empty. It was just the two of us and a few bartenders cleaning up.

Hearing her yell the bartenders gave us a dirty look, which obviously we/I ignored again.

"Should we get outta here?" she whispered in my ears, grinning.

"Sure!" I said before she grabbed my hand and was just about to run when the bartender yelled or... semi yelled telling us that we hadn't paid the bill yet.

"Oh shoot! Iforgot" she snickered. "Here my Card" she gave the bartender her card before yelling "Don't you dare charge me extra, just because you think I'm drunk and I can't know how much you're actually charging! I'll sue you guys if you do that, I swear! All of you!"

"Whoa whoa whoa! Calm down!" I said holding her before she got more wild.

"Here ma'am. You're card" the bartender said returning her card.

She flashed a wide creepy smile at him and said "You're too cute for a bartender" and was about to kiss him, when I threw her over my shoulder and walked out of the bar with much difficulty. First because I was terribly drunk and second I had another terribly drunk person over my shoulder and also because she kept wiggling to get out of my hold.

"Put me doooooown" she whined. I reached a particular spot before putting her down.

She bit my ear in the process of getting off me. "Ow ow! What was that for?!" I winced.

"For not letting me kiss that cute guy!" she scoffed.

"The bartender you mean" I pointed out.

"Whatever" she rolled her eyes.

We started walking aimlessly, and in the middle of nowhere we both burst out in a fit of giggles.

"We're so drunk" she snickered.

"I know right" letting out a laugh.

The roads were almost clear, just one or two vehicles driving past us and a few people scattered here and there.

"I still didn't get your name" I said.

She stopped on her tracks, looked at me and thought for a while before replying "Let's just stick to 'Stranger' for now, shall we?"

"Well. Hey there stranger!" I grinned.

"Hey" she said back, shyly. Awe, cute.

We walked in silence for sometime just observing everything quietly. Both of us were too drunk to walk straight so occasionally we kept taking the support of each other.
