Chapter 8~Faith

"Is she capable of running the gang still?" I heard someone whisper.

"Dude I don't know that was a pretty nasty wound." Someone else says. I turn to look at the group and they stand up straighter.

"Keep talking shit behind your leaders back, I'll cut your tongues out." I snap and they wince.

"Sorry boss." They say and I dismiss them. Once they're gone I lean against the wall.

"You okay Faith?" I look up at Ryan and nod.

"I'm just peachy love." I say and he shakes his head.

"Come on love, you need rest."

"I'm fine Ryan." I say and he picks me up, carrying me to out room.

"You were shot, this isn't something you can just brush off."

"Well I don't want people questioning my strength." I say and he smiles.

"They wont, just get some rest." He says and I sigh defeated.

"Okay." I say and he leads me to my room.

"Now stay here and rest. If you move I'll lock you in here." He says and I nod and go lay down.

"Can you at least bring me my laptop and paperwork?" I ask hopefully and he sighs.

"I guess since it'll keep you busy." He says and I smile.

"Thank you love." He smiles and kisses my head.

"You're welcome love." He says and leaves the room. I lay down and Dylan pops his head in.

"Hey dork, how you feeling?" I shrug.

"I've been better. People really suck." I say and tell him about the two boys.

"Mhm, maybe let Ryan lead while you recover, or I could. Whatever you want."

"That's a good idea, Ryan seems so fit to run a gang." I say and Dylan nods.

"Yeah he does."

"Help me up, I'm calling a gang meeting." I say and Dylan helps me up. We walk to the balcony. "GANG MEETING!" I yell.

"Faith I told you..." I cut him off and look over my gang.

"As you may of heard, I'm not in the current health state to lead you. With rumors among the gang, I'm to weak. So I'm leaving Ryan in charge till I can kick ass again." They start cheering and I sigh. "But don't think for a second you can disrespect me! I won't hesitate to cut a tongue out." I say and they nod all silliness gone.

"Why me and not Dylan?" Ryan ask and I shrug.

"I just picked you, now I feel like I'm about to pass out. Can you help me back to my room?" He laughs and picks me up.

"Of course love." He says and carries me back to my room.

"I could've walked ya know?"

"Nope, now shush and rest." He says as he puts me on the bed. I nod and get comfortable. My eyes start closing and I finally fall asleep.

~A few hours later~

I wake up to the sound of yelling and I open my eyes. I look around a familiar room and I start to panic. "Hello?"

"Good Morning my lovely princess."

"How'd you? I was just at home, i just fallen asleep!"

"Well your little 'Boyfriend' left you very vulnerable when he went to go talk to Dylan."

"Let me go!" I hiss at him and struggle against the ties.

"Sorry sweetheart, not until we get the code card." I laugh and shake my head.

"You're never gonna get it! It's hidden!" I say and he walks towards me.

"You're gonna tell me or I'll do something I probably won't regret."

"Like what? Take advantage of me? You've already done that. Play me? You've done that too. Stab me? You've fucking done that already as well!" I snap and I watch his expression change.

"Holy shit...What happened to me? I'm not like this." He says and shakes his head. He frees my wrist and points to the door.

"Thank you Dominic...I'm grateful for this." I say before running out. I look around and run to my left. I barge through that door and head back to the gang house.

~One hour later~

"Faith, oh thank goodness. You're okay!" My mom says kissing my forehead.

"Mom I'm fine, Where's dad and Ryan?"

"Basement, we finally found Milo."

"Where was that no good, backstabbing third in command at?"

"He was helping Dominic when he was caught. Ryan tried going after you but your dad stopped him." I nod and get up.

"Time to pay him a visit." I say walking to the basement and down the stairs.

"You bastard, why betray her?" I heard Ryan snap and I clear my throat.

"Boys, I'm back." I say and Ryan walks over to me.

"Good now let's get you back to..."

"Milo. How are you?" He looks at me terrified.

"Y..you..you're supposed to be dead! Dominic was supposed to kill you." I laugh and hit the wall next to me.

"Lets say he had a change of heart." I say and smile. "So now, why did you betray me?"

"Because Matt told me to, he said he'd protect me!" My eyes widen and my dad grabbed my arm and pulled me away.

"Matt as in the Matt that tortured mom? The one that betrayed you? That Matt? I ask staring at my dad.

"Yeah that Matt."
