The Breakup

Star: I can't believe we beat Meteora, and brought everyone back to life.

Tom: Yeah, it was really something.

Star: Is something wrong?

Tom: No

Star: Are you sure cause you sound very depressed right now, when you should be feeling relieved now that Meteora is no longer a threat.

Tom: Well yes I am bothered by something, but it's not related to Meteora.

Star: Then what is it?

Tom: *Sigh* Marco told me what happened on the day of Foolduke's wedding. He told me you guys kissed.

Star: I can explain, it's really not what you think.

Tom: No need Marco explained, and I understand. He was only trying to get you both out of that booth.

Star: Yeah, but that kiss didn't mean anything.

Tom: I know it didn't Star, but I can't help the fact that the one who is wrong in this situation is me.

Star: What do you mean?

Tom: You deserve someone better Star. You need someone who will always be there to take you on adventures, someone that can help you through whatever problem you are going through, someone who can lend you a shoulder to cry on, and most importantly someone who can help you become the best queen Mewni has ever had. That someone is Marco, not me.

Star: You are that someone for me.

Tom: I'm sorry Star, but we both know that's not true. I have thousands of demons inside me still, and I get angry for anything that goes wrong in my life.

Star: So you're breaking up with me?

Tom: *Sad tone* Yes Star. I'm breaking up with you.

(Star's eyes are starting to tear up)

Tom: It's for the best of us Star.

(Star stays silent)

Tom: Well I'm going to leave now. Goodbye Star.

(Tom leaves. Star then went to Marco's room with rage.)

Star: How could you!

Marco: How could I what?

Star: Why did you tell Tom about our kiss?

(Marco now is nervous)

Marco: I can explain. What had happened was, Tom and I were the only two people left of my army, and I was trying to get him to leave so he can find you and keep you safe. He wouldn't leave, so I told him we kissed so he can have a reason to leave.

Star: You couldn't tell him something else?

Marco: Not at the time.

Star: Well thanks to you, Tom broke up with me.

Marco: Oh my God. I'm sorry Star.

Star: Are you really?

Marco: Of course I am, why would you even think that?

Star: Well ever since you broke up with Jackie, and moved here to Mewni you had a crush on me. Then when you found out that I was dating Tom again, you started distancing yourself from both of us, and not to forget what you said on stump day.

Marco: Ok I see why you would think that I wanted you and Tom to break up, but I swear I didn't mean to make you guys break up.

Star: I'm having a hard time believing you right now. I didn't do that to you when you started to date Jackie. I actually supported you to ask her out, and when you guys started dating I was nothing but supportive, even if it broke my heart. Why couldn't you do the same?

Marco: Are you serious right now? How could you even say that?

Star: Because it is the truth.

Marco: Really? Back when we saw the soul rise I saw you too kissing, and instead of ruining that moment for you two, I went the other way. Also the time when Buff Frog left the note saying that he was no longer working for the castle, I lied about Glossaryk escaping so Tom can go with you and spend time with you.

Star: I guess I see your point, but I'm still not convinced. Sometimes I think to myself, why you even came back to Mewni? I was having a great time before you showed up.

(Marco looks at Star with a shocked looked.)

Marco: Fine! If you feel that way, I'll just pack up my stuff and leave for good.

Star: Great!

(Marco packs up all of his things, opens a portal with his dimensional scissors, and goes through the portal without saying goodbye. Star then goes back to her room and lays on top of her bed face down. She starts to cry.)

Author's Note: I really hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of this new story. I know it's been weeks that I haven't published anything, but finally it's here. Like I said in the description of the story, I'll be publishing every weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Hope you guys do really enjoy!
