the beast screeched in a high pitched voice.
it seems like it would have never stopped.
it pierced my senses.
i didn't know what to do, i was paralyzed.
and then it stopped.
all of a sudden there was no ringing in my ears.
the voice was no longer screaming.
it was dead silent.
no one dared to say a word.
the only thing anyone heard was their own hearts beating.
they were racing like a pack of wild boars, thumping through the prairies.
and then someone had the courage to say something.
"death!"
"death is among us."
"the final frontier is here!"
"it's here to reign upon us because of our god awful sins."
another cried out.
"i'm sorry, i'm sorry my savior!"
"i have all but the right to survive."
"my terrible ways have come back to haunt me!"
many fell down to the floor to pray.
this was a city of madness.
the ground started to shake, the roads were caving in.
all but one light shone through the clouds.
it wasn't a light to be prayed for.
the light was a deep red.
it's rays beaming upon the broken and once beautiful city.
the ray of darkness wasn't the only thing to be worried about in this strange place.
from every edge of the city, human-like figures came charging at a pace unknown to man.
they ran as if they were horrible ravenous beasts about to prey on the living.
yet, they were.
