Jared sitting quietly in his room taking on a round of Fortnite. While sweating on his opponents, he starts to observe vicious glitching.
Jared runs to the window and sees that his backyard looks like a part of the Fortnite map! Confusion comes upon him.
Running down stairs he finds his parents baffled as well.
"Have you seen our backyard" Jared yelled.
"Yes, this looks like the stupid game you play" his mom pleaded.
Jared starts to realize that he may need to participate in a round.
He walks outside and sees a button right in front of him that says "start game".
He clicked it and is now on the battle bus. He counted the 99 others participating in a bloody war against each other.
Jared jumps out and finds his first gun. He finds out that he can also build. He encounters his first opponent. Both players shooting and building Jared get a headshot and kills
another soul from his neighborhood.
Jared takes the loot off of her bloody corpse.
Jared notices in his backpack he has an iPad that shows where the storm is and his stats.
"65 people left" Jared says quietly to not make noise.
Jared encounters a second opponent. Building monster structures Jared came out victorious.
"Wow I didn't now how real this could get. I'm good at this" Jared says with a dirty grin on his face.
With 40 people left to go he ran into the storm. Jared finds a third opponent but looking at her carefully he notices it's his best friend Alana. He took another careful glance. She had rainbow hair, a yellow shirt, and bright neon green shoes. This is the opposite of what she looks like outside of this game.
What was happening?
She was turning into a Fortnite skin!
He looks down at himself and notices he's changing also.
"Oh god" he screams.
Jared sprinting to Alana, but before he can get the she gets shot. Bleeding out, Jared running quickly to catch up to her. Jared kills the guy who was after Alana.
"I-I can't lose you" Jared stuttering to get words out.
"Go on with out me" Alana states barely getting words out.
Alana collapsed in Jared's arms.
Now 20 people left Jared knows he has to win for Alana.
The neighborhood getting smaller and smaller by the storm.
Jared has fully emerged into a Fortnite skin.
He is now in the top 10.
Still thinking about the brutal way Alana died.
Jared believes to see another person he knows.
It's his best friend Marissa!
Her brown hair waved in the wind. Her blue eyes looking directly at Jared.
They share thoughts about Alana.
"Want to cross team secretly and win this!" Marissa says in a devilish voice.
"Count me in" Jared says with excitement
Marissa and Jared as a team kill the other 8 players.
Now there is a duel for the Victory Royale.
Marissa vs. Jared
"Sacrifice me, you deserve this" Marissa says.
"I can't lose you too!" Jared cries.
Marissa jumps off the bridge.
Jared has earned the Victory Royale!
Beat out 99 other opponents including his two best friends.
The ground started to shake. Jared closed his eyes.
After a minute of harsh shaking he opens his eyes. He's outside of this house. Everything is back to normal! Alana and Marissa are right by his side. He has so much joy to see them.
"What a day" Jared states with excitement.
