We all walked in the kitchen as a group and mom already had the food set out on the table. We sat down and started eating. "So mom did I get anything from dad?" I asked. "No sweetheart,I'm sorry." Mom said. "Are you sure he's getting my letters?" I asked. "Yes I'm pretty sure." mom said. Dad left the family when I was 8. Mom said he wasn't ready for a family so he moved to Washington to have his carpet business. I send dad letters all the time, seems like he never gets them. Mom says he does so the best thing to do is wait. "So!" Mom said interrupting my thoughts. "I got good news!" We gave each other a weird look and didn't know if we should be excited too. "After working years as a waiter,I finally saved up so you guys can have the best summer ever!" Mom said excitingly. I jumped out of my chair "are you serious! Where?" She gave us a smirk "Myrtle Beach." It seems like I'm the only one excited but that doesn't matter. I jump up and down getting ready to run upstairs. "We leave tomorrow!" She yells as I run away.
