You tell her to do this.
To watch her brothers and sisters all day.
To run down the street to pick up the milk.
To cook and to clean.
And not give her any credit.
You tell her to do this.
To help with their homework.
To pack up their bags.
To tidy the kitchen.
And not give her any credit.
Yet when she goes out,
And tries to earn her own money,
To stop doing as you want,
You say she's too young.
You don't want her to have the responsibility.
So what was all that before?
She's no longer a child.
Not anymore.
