In love with the boy who has his own
Deep in the heart, written in stone
Under return from the brook and the bone
Melody hidden, within the throne
Parody, drama, feinting unbound
Many a neighbor, all across town
Stepped in the forest, never been found
Serenely waiting, taunted by sounds
Silted in silence, bounded and gagged
Waiting for answers, not to be nagged
Timing the footsteps, the bodies all bagged
Measuring heartache, sorrowed and sagged
Told to keep waiting, cause timing is true
Stuck with another, although you're blue
Heartache is heartache, you're told to push through
True love's a mystery, one that's so shrew
Just keep on pushing, you'll do what is right
Measure the power, it's not black and white
Pretending he's real, with all your might
Deep breaths you're taking, stilled in the night
The end is the end, there is no indifference
Hide your love for him, and take what's being given
His desire is true, but your love for another
Holding you back, uncover the covered
Maybe you'll learn to love the one you're with now
Maybe you won't
But deep in your soul, you know, you don't
You're leading him on, while in disarray
The other strung you out
Asked you to stay
Hold on to your heartstrings,
It'll be a bumpy ride
Good luck with the heartache, take it in stride.
