Luke's POV

"Jaydon.... I don't know about this guy. I've herd things about him in town, he's new. He does drugs and drinks and I don't know if I really approve of this.....I don't think you should go." i say waiting for a reply. "Dad c'mon its just a date at the movies, if I don't like him I won't hang out with him anymore, please daddy just this one time??" she asks with them damn puppy dog eyes. "Alright fine." I can't resist them puppy eyes, tried many times before, that just don't work. I hope he treats my baby girl right, if not, he won't live to see the next day. "Thank you daddy!" she jumps up and wraps her arms around me smiling for ear to ear. Of course i smile know i made my baby girl happy.

Saturday- Jayson's POV

Its 6:00 and josh is picking me up at 7:30, better start getting ready. I jump in the shower washing my hair and body. I jump out wrapping myself in a towel and go to my closet and pick out my Daisey Duke's, a purple crop top, and of course my cowboy boots. I brush my hair and put loose curls in it and apply my light make up. I stand up and look myself once over in the mirror before walking downstairs. I see dad sitting on the porch with, oh my god really?? His shotgun. Just go ahead and kill me now. I walk put to him and sit on his lap. "Hey daddy, watcha doin??" I ask "Cleaning my shotgun, waiting for your date to arrive, what else would I be doing??" he states. "I don't know, maybe watching the football game or something??" I say in a duh tone. "Nah! Can't miss the first date stare down." he answers bluntly. "I'm going to find mama." I get up and walk into the kitchen seeing mama doing the dishes. "Mama, he's gone crazy!" I say jumping onto the counter. "What did he do now baby girl??" she asks still putting the dishes away. "He's actually sitting out there 'cleaning' his shotgun waiting for josh to show up!!" I say using air quotes on the word cleaning. "Honey he just wants to protect his baby girl, and scare the boy a little, and give him that fatherly talk. You know, I bet he's just as nervous as you are." mama says looking at me. "But mama, couldn't he just watch the football game or somethin, be a normal father??" "Well Jaydon for one, he's Luke Bryan he can't be a normal father, and two he's doin it cuz he loves you. That's what my daddy did when I had my first date." she reassures me. I look out the window seeing josh pull up in his big red Chevy. "See you later mama." I give a kiss on the cheek then go outside. "Daddy this is Joshua, Josh this is my father, Luke." I introduce them. "Hello sir, nice to meet you." josh says shaking dads hand. "you too" he replies. "Well we better get going, nice meeting you Mr. Bryan." josh says waving to him. Dad just waves back. "Bye daddy, love you, don't wait up for me." I give him a kiss on the cheek. "Oh I will be, love you to baby girl." He gives me a hug. I take joshes hand and walk to his truck. He opens my door being the gentleman he is. "Why thank you sir." I say getting in. He just smiles and goes to his side. I hope this goes good.
